  8. I am a native of New York, but migrated to Oregon in 
  9. 1979.  While I had done extensive work building model
  10. kits, making scratch-built models, sculpting and 
  11. painting, I set that aside to attend the University of 
  12. Oregon.  In 1990 I graduated with a B.A. in Architecture.

  14. Choosing not to pursue this field, I returned to model-
  15. making.  I expanded my artwork to include full scenes, a
  16. diorama which could be hung as a picture.  I dubbed this
  17. art form "3D Painting."
  18.  
  19. Showing this work mostly at science fiction and fantasy
  20. conventions around the Northwest, I have won numerous
  21. awards, including Best of 3D, Best Science Fiction, and
  22. Best of Show.  I have also had my artwork displayed in
  23. the Wizards Gallery in Kirkland, Washington, in the 
  24. Mayor's Art Show (Eugene, Oregon), and in the Salon des 
  25. Refuses (also in Eugene).

  27. Putting realistic detail on the figures and scenery, and
  28. using light and shadow to create depth in my art pieces,
  29. the 3D paintings tend to draw large crowds wherever they
  30. are shown.  My artwork has been written up in many 
  31. newspapers, including the SEATTLE TIMES and the REGISTER-
  32. GUARD (Eugene).

  34. I have also worked as Prop Master, Model Maker, and Set
  35. Designer for a number of locally-produced movies.  
  36. Although I have been offered work in Hollywood as a model
  37. maker, I prefer the lifestyle of an Oregonian.  I will
  38. continue to show my art in the film and video industry.
