  6. David A. Cherry has been a professional illustrator for
  7. more than a decade.  He was formerly an attorney who 
  8. found that he liked painting science fiction and fantasy 
  9. images more than practicing law.  His work has graced
  10. the covers of books from almost all the major publishers,
  11. including novels written by his sister, the famed science
  12. fiction writer C.J. Cherryh.  He is a member of the 
  13. Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists (ASFA) 
  14. and served one term as President of that organization.
  15. His art has won many awards at science fiction 
  16. conventions.
