There are several stages of troubleshooting, none are guaranteed to work.
• The first is to reboot your Mac. They are strange beasts and this can solve the weirdest problems.
• Second is to trash the ShutterBug preferences.
1) Go to the Preferences folder inside your System Folder
2) Find the Folder Called Cannibal Island. Open It
3) Drag the File Called ShutterBug Preferences to the Trash.
4) Choose Empty Trash from the Special Menu.
5) Run ShutterBug again -- this will create a new default preferences file.
• Third could be an extension conflict. This is very unlikely if other software works with your video Camera.
To resolve this you should remove any suspicious looking extension files (Inside the Extensions Folder). What is a suspicious extension ? On the QuickCam look for things that might use the serial port like modem extensions.
