Because many video camera's have wide angle lenses you get an irritating fisheye look you your beautiful photographs. Fortunately all is not lost as you can undo this distortion with an appropriate transformation to make your images look flat again. This means that straight lines in the world will look straight in your pictures.
The distortion correction algorithm requires a parameter which YOU MUST SPECIFY. Why ? Because every camera and lens combination is different. This parameter is specified in the Photo Settings Dialog. For the Connectix quickCam I recommend a value in the region of 230.0. For other camera and lens combinations you should use this as a starting value and alter it until lines appear straight in the images you are creating.
This feature is disabled by inserting 0 into the Photo Settings Dialog (this is the default value). I will add a check box to make this more obvious.
I will improve the algorithm to reduce the aliasing present in the corrected image. This will be ready real soon. I must just get the time.
