  1.    Replacement "Paint Shop" Backgrounds
  2.   for the PaintKit for NasCar by Papyrus

  5. These two PCX files are replacement background
  6. screens for the "Paint Shop" menu in the
  7. PaintKit that comes with NasCar by Papyrus. With
  8. SCPAINT1.PCX you can change the colors for the
  9. numbers that identify each of the body panels.
  10. With SCPAINT2.PCX not only can you change the
  11. colors of the numbers, but the body panels are
  12. outlined with a color changeable grid. If you've
  13. ever had a heck of a time trying to see the
  14. different body panels when painting them then
  15. you'll love this!

  17. To install first backup the original SCPAINT.PCX
  18. file in the NASCAR\PAINTKIT subdirectory. Then
  19. rename SCPAINT1.PCX -OR- SCPAINT2.PCX to
  20. SCPAINT.PCX in the NASCAR\PAINTKIT subdirectory
  21. depending on which one makes it easier for you to
  22. paint the cars with... try 'em both. Then fire up
  23. PaintKit. The color of the grid, the id numbers on
  24. the body panels, and the color id numbers can all
  25. be changed simply by clicking on a new color and
  26. then clicking on one of the circles at the right
  27. of the screen beside the color palette (just like
  28. when you paint the body panels).

  30. With the old black numbers if you were painting a
  31. dark car you couldn't hardly see them. Not any
  32. more! Also the grid makes it much easier to see
  33. the different body panels when most of your
  34. paintjob has very similar colors.
