Enter a new Project name. (Click the Browse button to find a specific folder.) \n\nTo capture new video scenes, switch to "Get Video". For existing ones, switch to "Arrange". \n\nIf you don't see any preview, click the Info button for help.
If you don't see any video, it maybe because you have yet to configure your video capture device. To check, click the Video Source button. Here, select the type of video input device you have, as well as, the television standard used in your country. \n\nIf you want to change the frame size of your video, click the Video Format button Generally, choose half size if you want to save disk space and full size for better \n\nIf you still do not see any video after you have checked all the necessary connections or are unsure about the available options, consult the documentation that came with your video capture device.
Click the Begin button to start the capturing process. This button toggles between Begin and Stop. To end the capture process, click the button again. Repeat this step until you have captured all the scenes you want. \n\nFor more tips on capturing video, click the Info button.
Capturing video can place a heavy demand on your computer. Depending on the type of computer you have, you may find the results vary from excellent to poor. If your video does not look as expected or jitters during playback, you may try capturing half size video or adjusting the compression quality ratio. This can be done in the Start step of the main program, Ulead VideoStudio.
Select a clip and drag it to the position where you want it to play in the final movie. To trim a video clip, select it first and then click the Trim button. \n\nTo learn more about trimming, click the Info button.
Trimming is the process of editing unwanted frames out of a captured clip. From the Trim Video dialog box, use the play controls below the Preview window to move to the frame where you want your video clip to begin and then click the Start Frame button. Next, move to the frame you want the clip to end on and click the End Frame button. \n\nWhen done making your selection, click the Return button to go back to Video Wizard.
Select how a clip ends and starts another from the Transtion effect drop down list. Add music by selecting an audio file (*.WAV). To finish, type in your title in the entry box. (Press Ctrl+M to start a new line.) \n\nFor more tips, click the Info button.
When you select a transition, the same one is applied to all clips. If you want variations, choose the Select Random option. You can always change this later. \n\n Add music by selecting an audio file (*.WAV file extension). You can also record your own voice over using a microphone or copying music from a CD using a Sound Recorder utility that comes with Windows 95. \n\nRemember, when adding a title, make sure you add enough line breaks (Ctrl + M) so that your text does not run off the screen.
Click the Create Video File button to start processing your final movie. If you would like to work with more advanced features, click the Open In VideoStudio button.\n\nFor more tips on creating a video, click the Info button.
Sometimes, creating a video takes a long time especially if you included a lot of effects in it. If it is taking too long, press the Esc key and switch to "Add Effect". Remove either the transition effect or the title. You can also shorten the total length of the video by removing some clips or trimming individual clips.
Congratulations! You have successfully created a video file. To play this file, use the controls at the bottom of the window.\n\nFor more information on playing a video file, click the Info button.
After previewing your video, you will notice that a few seconds of blank frames appear at the end of the sequence. These blank frames are there to help you identify when the video ends. If you want to edit these frames or remove them, switch to Create and then click the Open In VideoStudio button. This will open your project in Ulead VideoStudio where you can easily trim your clips individually.
