  3. What's New In Techscheduler
  4. starting with Version 3.00

  7. - The NT Service is now installed in the Techscheduler folder, the
  8.   setup wizard will attempt to disable old NT Service copies found
  9.   in other folders.
  10.  
  11. - TechScheduler now supports user defined variables that are used
  12.   and set in the pre-start and post-job activities forms.
  13.  
  14. - The GUI has been updated to seperate the Timed Jobs from the
  15.   On-Demand jobs.
  16.  
  17. - Support added to optionally use a disk based configuration file
  18.   (INI Style) instead of the registry.
  19.  
  20. - Registration keys have been changed again (sorry!). Hackers have
  21.   given key information to all the databases. We experience daily
  22.   calls from customers using hacked shareware keys.

  24. Compatibility issues with older versions:

  26. - If upgrading from 2.70 (1.0x - 2.6x) or earlier certain MAIL and
  27.   FTP settings for existing jobs may be incorrect. Job information
  28.   is unreliable. Re-enter all jobs.

  30. - If upgrading from 2.70 or later (2.7x, 2.8x) the following
  31.   compatibility issues are known:

  33.   - All job password fields have been encoded for the ISO/security
  34.     needs of our customers.  You will need to re-enter the passwords
  35.     in the following jobs: FTP, RAS, Network Connection and NT Service.
