  6. TechScheduler 95/NT is a highly configurable program and system scheduler
  7. for Windows 95, 98, NT workstation and Windows NT Server.  TechScheduler
  8. now comes with a powerful NT Service executable that provides all the
  9. scheduling power from TechScheduler in an NT Service executable.

  11. With TechScheduler you can:

  13. - Schedule programs.
  14. - Schedule WatchDog activities to keep an eye on your system.
  15. - Schedule batch files.
  16. - Schedule other Windows entities.
  17. - Schedule Windows shutdown & system reboot activities.

  19. - Schedule File activities such as deletion, creation, copying & renaming.

  33. TechScheduler's flexible scheduling allows for jobs to be scheduled in a
  34. variety of different daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc fashions, including
  35. on demand.  Times can be scheduled to occur throughout the daily, at a given
  36. point each hour or during ad-hoc times you specify.

  38. Each job can invoke another TechScheduler job when it is complete or it can
  39. invoke a Windows program when complete. You can test whether jobs were
  40. successful or failed and invoke different jobs or programs depending on the
  41. result.  You can build circular or recurring jobs or jobs that invoke other
  42. job streams.  There is also an option to have failed jobs automatically
  43. retry themselves after a given interval.

  45. Jobs can automatically notify email addresses of their success or failure,
  46. both MAPI and SMTP email is embedded in the program.

  48. With a published powerful API and examples, you can use TechScheduler as
  49. part of your development projects.

  55.           Using Windows "Control Panel", select the Add/Remove Programs
  56.           icon.  From the list of installed applications select TechScheduler
  57.           and proceed with the automated UnInstallShield procedures.

  135.  1. Added new email option - CUSTOM EMAILER. Allows you to specify a command
  136.     line emailer to use for job notifications and regular email jobs. For 
  137.     example to use "NET SEND" this would work.
  138.  2. Corrected problem with network PING not working in jobs.
  139.  3. Corrected problem in FTP not retrieving files from certain types of FTP 
  140.     servers.
  141.  4. Corrected bug in Email job that was not allowing a mix of message body 
  142.     and text from a file.
  143.  5. Corrected bug in MAPI email job handler that was not utilizing message 
  144.     body correctly.
  145.  6. Added FTP Logging to GET operations.
  146.  7. Added option in CONFIGURATION to allow you specify the time the daily 
  147.     Start-of-Day will run. This allows users with mission critical midnight 
  148.     tasks to run Start-of-Day later.
  149.  8. Added option in CONFIGURATION to specify a system wide job suspension 
  150.     daily time and duration, ie: 12:30 am for 15 minutes. This provides a 
  151.     mechanism to ensure jobs will not run during backups, etc..

  153.     lists without having to exit the job.
  154. 10. Corrected bug on Keyboard emulation job where CLASSES was being written 
  155.     to the WINDOWS dropdown list.

  158.  1. Workaround for MultiProcessor NT bug where GUI was not appearing. Logged
  159.     issue with Microsoft as bug is with low-level threaded timer code hanging
  160.     only in multiprocessor environment.
  161.  2. Added /MULTIPROC command line option which prevents the threaded time 
  162.     code from being executed in case multiprocessor bug still appears.
  163.  3. Corrected Range Check Error for Windows NT REXEC and SU jobs.

  166.  1. Corrected bug in EMail job where it was reporting error "SMTP Server not
  167.     selected" even on MAPI jobs.
  168.  2. Added process to delete jobs from API or remote job update without the 
  169.     deletion confirmation prompt.
  170.  3. Corrected bug in watchdog job entry form that was not saving or updating 
  171.     job tests correctly. 
  172.  4. Added "passive", "host system type" and "resolve names" options to the 
  173.     FTP job.
  174.  5. Updated keyboard emulation job to fix "windows" and "class" list and 
  175.     control items retrieved.
  176.  6. Replaced system icon tray with updated component using imagelist for icon 
  177.     updates.
  178.  7. Removed capability to run script jobs from the NT Service, this seems to 
  179.     be a microsoft problem which we will try to workaround however we get an 
  180.     OLE error which translated to the runtime 217 error that was reported.
