  80. Find++ is a useful Windows 95/98/NT shareware utility that gives you a
  81. powerful and friendly tool to find files having a common text across
  82. directories and drives. It's powerful user interface helps you
  83. quickly change all the occurrences of a specified text in your
  84. files. Full context-sensitive help and a small tutorial helps you
  85. grasp its user interface quickly.

  87. Search by specifying multiple file names with or without wild cards
  88. or just drag drop files from the File Manager. Long file names are
  89. supported. You can search for files up to a specified sub directory
  90. depth for each file name specification. By restricting search to a
  91. specified level you can fine tune searches through large media like
  92. CD-ROMS. You can search for a case sensitive, whole word or regular
  93. expression match. Find++'s  regular expressions are similar to those
  94. in MS Word 6.0 and easy to master. You can also specify file
  95. modification dates and minimum and maximum file sizes. Files
  96. matching your search criteria are listed with their full file info's.

  98. Do recursive searches through the listed files with different search
  99. criteria to narrow your search even further. Recursive searches can
  100. help you find word combinations with spaces.

  102. Sort the listed files using the file name, size or date as the sort
  103. key within or across directories. Rename multiple files using
  104. wildcards and special characters. Delete, copy, move or zip
  105. selected files.

  107. Open a file in an edit window along with a numbered line list of the
  108. lines in the file containing the search text. The text contained in 
  109. these lines are highlighted both in the edit window and in the line
  110. list. Double-clicking a line in the line list scrolls the edit 
  111. window to bring the context of that line in the file into view. In
  112. version 2.61 you can edit files upto 2 GB.

  114. The internal editor has a powerful Find/Replace dialog which you
  115. can use to replace text in multiple files. In version 2.61 you can 
  116. confirm every replace or replace all at once in all the files. 
  117. File save after replace can be confirmed for every file or 
  118. optionally after all text in all the files have been replaced.

  120. Optionally, you can use your favorite editor or associated
  121. program to view the file.

  123. Use Find++ to search and replace common text like variable names 
  124. in your programs files with regular expressions. It is also most
  125. useful for editing web site html files as they often have common 
  126. text that needs to be regularly updated.
