  22.    WHAT IS DISKSTATE?
  23.    __________________________________________________________________
  24.       Browse through your disk space to find out total, used and free 
  25.       space and file system info on your drives. Get detailed info on 
  26.       the biggest folders on selected volume.  Eliminate  wasted disk 
  27.       space by deleting old and temporary files  at your command.  In 
  28.       addition, get a  complete listing  of duplicate  files over all 
  29.       your  drives.  This  uses a powerful  128-bit MD5 signature  to 
  30.       ensure that  files actually  are equal (CRC32  also available). 
  31.       Capture  disk  states,  generate reports,  schedule  a deletion 
  32.       engine,  extract  boot blocks  for  multiboot  and other system 
  33.       tools.

  35.       All in all, this  is a small but  powerful tool to  analyze and 
  36.       tidy your computer in a nice safe way.

  40.    SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  42.       ï Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT or Windows 2000 Pro. 
  43.       ï DiskState's deletion engine requires Windows  NT/2000 to  set 
  44.         up the service. Also, the Deletion engine  requires MFC  DLLs 
  45.         (not included in the standard  distribution).  Available  for 
  46.         download below at: 
  47.         http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vc/mfc42.cab. 
  48.       ï Intel  386  processor  or  better.  A  Pentium   Class CPU is 
  49.         recommended. 
  50.       ï 8 MB RAM. 
  51.       ï Internet  Explorer 3.02 or better to view the help files. 
  52.       ï If  you  are running  Windows 95 build 950,  you  need Common 
  53.         Controls  Update.  This  is not necessary for other operation 
  54.         systems (Win95 setup program comes with this).

  58.    INSTALL

  60.       There are two distribution  files for  this  program.  One file 
  61.       includes a setup  wizard to guide you through  the installation 
  62.       process.  The other  distribution  is the zip file.  Just unzip 
  63.       this file with  WinZip or similar and place the files in one of 
  64.       your  favorite  folders  on   your  hard  drive (typically  use 
  65.       c:\Program Files\DiskState).

  73.       To un-install DiskState, please perform these steps:
  74.        1) Open the Windows Control Panel.
  75.        2) Click on  the  Add/Remove Programs   icon  in  the  control
  76.           panel.
  77.        3) Select "DiskState v2.0x" from the list of programs.
  78.        4) Click on "Add/Remove" to uninstall DiskState.
  79.       The application will then removed from your computer.
