  4. Aeco Systems introduces the latest in Zip/Archives management 
  5. technology. This version of Aeco Zip Explorer PRO support viewing and 
  6. manipulation of Archives from within Windows Explorer itself, making 
  7. manipulation of ZIP archives as easy as manipulating native folders. 
  8. Using the COM Shell Extension interfaces, Aeco Zip Explorer is able to 
  9. insert itself into the Windows Explorer providing a seamless user 
  10. interface to ZIP/LZH/TAR files.

  13. To see for yourself this latest feature work:
  14. 1)  Run Windows Explorer, on the left hand panel (TreeView) scroll down 
  15. to ZipPro Zip File. Now click on the `+' to expand that branch. You 
  16. will notice that the menu have changed and you are now using Zip 
  17. Explorer PRO. You can now open an archive or simply double click on 
  18. an archive.

  21. Unlike other ported ZIP managers, AECO ZIP EXPLORER PRO 95 is written 
  22. from the ground up exclusively for Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0. With 
  23. context menus and extensive drag and drop support for compression and 
  24. decompression, both inside and outside Windows Explorer, Aeco ZIP 
  25. Explorer PRO 95 is unrivaled in its simplicity and functionality. Users 
  26. can selectively compress and decompress files by dragging and dropping 
  27. on to ZIP archives or on to the Windows 95 desktop/folders. 
  28. Decompressing and installing an ZIP archive is as easy as selecting the 
  29. file in Windows Explorer and select the proper operation with the right 
  30. click context menu. ZIPPRO integrates tightly with the Windows 95 shell 
  31. either running stand alone or running within Windows Explorer to provide 
  32. seamless user interface. ZIPPRO is fully "Long File Name" enabled for 
  33. all supported archives (ZIP/TAR//TGZ/LZH) and compressed files like .GZ 
  34. and .Z

  36. Unique features unavailable else where like exploring Zip files from 
  37. Windows Explorer, InstantView and renaming of embedded files and 
  38. directories inside of a compression file makes ZIPPRO stands apart from 
  39. the rest. All features built-in, no external program needed; including 
  40. encrypted ZIP file support.

  42. With the InstantView feature, the user selects the file on the left 
  43. pane, and its contents appear instantaneously on the right. ZIPPRO is 
  44. the only ZIP program with this capability. In addition, built-in no-
  45. hassle multi-disk span ZIP archive means no more messy hook ups with 
  46. external software and clumsy floppy swapping. Unlike other multi-disk 
  47. span software which forces the user to insert the last floppy of a disk 
  48. set and then the first; with ZIPPRO's no hassle approach, extraction may 
  49. begin as soon as the first floppy is inserted. ZIPPRO automatically 
  50. detects a multi-disk set and prompts for the next floppy when needed.

  52. Other innovative ZIPPRO features include automatic handling of Internet 
  53. archives like .tar, .tar.gz, .tgz or .taz and even uuencoded archives 
  54. sent across e-mail. With a single click of the mouse, users get a view 
  55. of the archive without the hassle of needing to know the format or 
  56. formats of the archive they are dealing with.

  58. Enhanced "Save As" features allows you to open a large ZIP archive on 
  59. the hard disk and save as a multi-disk span archive on floppy; or open a 
  60. normal ZIP archive and save as an encrypted ZIP archive. You can even 
  61. open an encrypted archive and save as a new encrypted archive with a new 
  62. password.
