  5. With CDxtract you can browse your Akai cdroms, play samples, and save samples as mono or stereo .wav files. Convert Akai programs and samples to soundfont files (.sf2)
  6. CDxtract works with scsi and atapi cdrom readers. While you run CDxtract, don't use your sampler to access the cdrom, otherwise CDxtract won't be able to read any more data. (or reboot)

CDxtract permet de lire les CDroms Akai directement sur un PC ‡ partir d'un lecteur de cdroms scsi ou atapi, on peut parcourir rapidement le contenu du CD, imprimer le rÈpertoire, Ècouter n'importe quel Èchantillon d'un clic de la souris, et sauvegarder un Èchantillon en fichier .wav avec les points de bouclage. On peut Ègalement sauvegarder en une fois tout un volume, toute une partition et mÍme l'intÈgralitÈ du CD. On peut Ègalement sauvegarder l'arborescence de tous ces CDs Akai dans une base de donnÈes ce qui permet de faire ensuite des recherches par mots clÈs. CDxtract peut convertir un programme Akai en fichier soundfont (.sf2) pouvant Ítre ensuite chargÈ dans une carte son.
