-
- The information that follows is last minute and was not included in the
- owner's manual:
-
- -When a character is on dragonback and they have been assigned on a go to
- quest, once they arrive at the location, you must go into the 3D control
- view and dismount the character from the dragon by press F5.
-
- -Characters who wander into mountain ranges will sometimes move in a circle
- because they are confused as to how to get out. If this happens, go to
- the 3D control view and move the character for a short distance and he
- will continue on his way.
-
- -Each character has different personality traits. As a result, certain
- characters will not get along with other characters even if they are
- alliance members or of the same race. As a result you will have to try
- different combinations of characters in order to get the best fellowships.
-
- -Characters who are impatient will go on their own quests if you leave them
- on wait for too long a period of time. It is important to keep track of
- where your different characters are at all times.
-
- -Large fellowships will move slower than small fellowships or individual
- characters. This is due to the large amount of effort it takes to move
- a huge group of people versus a small band of warriors.
-
- -Standards on castles and citadels will change during the course of the game.
- These can change as a result of a castle being taken by force or by the
- owner of the castle being recruited by someone of another race. If the
- latter happens then troops of the owner of the castle's race will stop
- flocking to the castle and instead troops from the race of the character who
- did the recruiting will flock there instead. Additionally, if the character
- who did the recruiting was previously recruited by someone of another race,
- then characters recruited by this person will instead have the standard on
- their castle be that of the very first character.
-
- -When characters engage in combat and they have troops under their command,
- these troops will slowly be depleted as they die in combat, even if the
- character is victorious. It is important to keep track of the number of
- troops a character has and also know what castle(s) is(are) close by so
- that you can replace your forces.
-
- -Characters who have troops or fellowships with them will sometimes stop and
- wait for the rest of their group to catch up to them. It is important to
- plan your groups wisely and study the characteristics of each character -
- certain characters will move faster then others and may do better on their
- own or grouped with other characers of similar ilk.
-
