  7. INTRODUCTION:
  8.  
  9. Graphics Discovery (GRDC) is an application designed to help you 
  10. find, view, print, acquire, convert, and resize image files using 
  11. 32-bit Windows OS. It can reduce image file size using different 
  12. file compression formats such as CMP, LZW, RLE, CCITT, and JPEG.  
  13. It offers lots of image enhancement features like resize, rotate, 
  14. flip and filters like brightness, contrast, sharpen, blur, emboss, 
  15. metallic, and more.  It can annotate your images with text.  There 
  16. are built in links to other graphics programs such as image editors.

  18. Graphics Discovery includes a Gallery function which is designed to 
  19. help you find, organize and display a group of images.  Multiple image 
  20. files are displayed as thumbnails on a re-sizable gallery which you 
  21. can organize, sort, delete, and save to a file as thumbnails so you can 
  22. quickly view them again.  You can also run a slide show from the 
  23. gallery.

  25. Graphics Discovery supports many different kinds of picture file 
  26. formats such as CMP, JPG, GIF, TIF, BMP, PCX, DCX, PCD, WMF, 
  27. PSD, PNG, TGA, EPS, RAS, WPG, PCT, ICA, FAX, MAC, IMG, MSP and more.

  72. INSTALLING GRDC:

  74. If you received one install file:

  76.   1) Run GRDC##.EXE (self extracting file) or GRDC##.ZIP 
  77.      (PKZIPed file) from Windows START to start the install.  
  78.  
  79. If you received 2 installation disks:
  80.  
  81.   2) Run GRDC##.EXE from disk 1 to start the install.  If running
  82.      from your hard drive, make sure both installation files
  83.      (GRDC##.EXE and GRDC##.W02) are in the same directory.

  143. The OCX controls should be registered during Graphics
  144. Discovery installation.  If you experience any problems 
  145. registering the LTOCX70N.OCX control, first try unregistering 
  146. and reregistering the control, as shown below using the 
  147. Windows '95 Start - Run option:

  149. REGSVR32 /U <filename>.OCX
  150. REGSVR32 <filename>.OCX
  151.  
  152. If you continue to have problems registering the LTOCX70N.OCX
  153. graphics control, you may need to update some or
  154. all the shared files in your Windows SYSTEM directory.
  155.     
  156. GRDC was written with Visual Basic Ver 4.0.  You will need 
  157. the runtime DLL for Visual Basic: VB40032.DLL.  This should
  158. be installed during GRDC installation.  If not, you can 
  159. downloaded it from most online services and from Microsoft's
  160. web site on the Internet.  If you have installation problems,

  170. GETTING STARTED:
  171.  
  172. To begin using Graphics Discovery, click on the Graphics Discovery 
  173. icon in Program STARTUP or double click on Graphics Discovery
  174. in Windows Explorer.  
  175.  
  176. You can follow GRDC.EXE with a path and file name and Graphics 
  177. Discovery will start up with that image file.  You can also drag and
  178. drop one or more image files from Explorer into the GRDC window to
  179. open image files.  See GRDC.HLP for more information on using the 
  180. program.

  183. UNINSTALL
  184.  
  185. To uninstall Graphics Discovery, use the Add/Remove Software Wizard 
  186. on the Windows '95 Control Panel or run the UNWISE.EXE program in 
  187. your GRDC directory.

  227. a trial period of up to 30 days.  After that time, you must 
  228. register your copy of the program.
