  40.           considered by many to be the "bible" of
  41.           telecommunications.

  44.           and Wayne Tomasi, published by Prentice-Hall, Inc. The
  45.           ISBN # is 0-13-212424-6. This book contains all the
  46.           information and theory you might wish to know about
  47.           communications. Where else are you going to find out how
  48.           to distinguish between a Vertical Redundancy Check and a
  49.           Longitudinal Redundancy Check?

  51.           HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF COMPUSERVE, 5th Edition, by
  52.           Charles Bowen and David Peyton, published by Bantam

  55.           CompuServe. It is very good. CompuServe contains so much
  56.           information that, if you don't have a comprehensive
  57.           guide, you may become lost online!

  61.           is an excellent book with many hints to expand your
  62.           online database searching. The examples include

  64.           Dow Jones News/Retrieval Service, Mead Data Central's
  65.           Lexis and Nexis, and more.

  97.           BOARDWATCH MAGAZINE. This magazine is published at 8500
  98.           W. Bowles Avenue, Suite 210, Littleton, CO 80123. An
  99.           excellent guide to online information services and
  100.           bulletin boards.

  102.           BBS CALLERS DIGEST. Published by Callers Digest, Inc.,
  103.           701 Stokes Road, Medford, NJ 08055. A magazine about
  104.           bulletin board systems.

  106.           COMPUTER SHOPPER.  The address is One Park Avenue, 11th
  107.           Floor, New York, NY 10016. This huge magazine has many
  108.           fine articles as well as some of the best prices for
  109.           computer hardware and software. Each issue has a huge
  110.           list of phone numbers (and other relevant information)
  111.           for BBSs around the country.  The list of BBSs is current
  112.           and the list is so big that they publish half the
  113.           alphabet one month and the next half the next month.
  114.           Also, Computer Shopper Magazine has a big list of
  115.           Computer Clubs.  Furthermore, the Computer Shopper weighs
  116.           more than all the other magazines!
