  2.             What's new in the Quick Heal X-GEN Ver. 6.0 
  3.  
  4. We  have  prepared this section to let you know what's  new  and 
  5. improved in Quick Heal X-GEN version 6.0. We have short listed those
  6. features we believe to be the most significant. This is a mega release 
  7. and henceforth Quick Heal will be known as Quick Heal X-GEN.

  9.   Enhancements in Ver 6.0
  10.   -------------------------
  11. * ENHANCED QUICK HEAL MESSENGER
  12.     Messenger has been a great hit. To further strengthen it, Quick Heal 
  13.     Messenger has been made configurable. The users can configure the 
  14.     interval of checking for New Messages. It also allows On-Demand message 
  15.     checking. Users can now configure the Audio Alarms for various alerts. 
  16.  
  17. * SENSOR FOR NEW WORMS, TROJANS AND BACKDOORS.
  18.     This new feature in Quick Heal is designed to fight the threats posed by
  19.     new Trojans, Worms and BackDoors. It gets activated on every boot and 
  20.     traps the new entrant. This shall ensure a fool proof protection against 
  21.     new threats especially from the internet.

  23. * SCANNING OF OUTLOOK EXPRESS 5.0 MAILBOX 
  24.     New viruses, specially KAK, posed a lot of problems for the users of 
  25.     Outlook Express. This feature comes as a great relief for such users. 
  26.     Quick Heal can now scan the Mail Box of Outlook Express and remove 
  27.     viruses from there.

  29. * SCANNING OF ENCODED EMAIL ATTACHMENTS LIKE UUENCODE/MIME/BinHex (Base 64)
  30.     Quick now also scans the Email Attachments with Outlook Express 5.0. It 
  31.     scans mail attachments encoded with UUENCODE/MIME/BinHex (Base 64).

  33. * OFFICE 2K INTEGRATED PROTECTION
  34.     For MS Office 2K, a comprehensive integrated protection has been designed. 
  35.     This COM based protection will scan and clean all MS Office documents.

  37. * INTEGRATED MAIL PROTECTION FOR OUTLOOK 2K users
  38.     Quick Heal X GEN is powered to scan the mails at the point of arrival in
  39.     Outlook 2000. It also scans the mails and attachments when they are read.

  41. * SCANNING OF ALL EMBEDDED EXECUTABLES IN A .SHS FILE
  42.     Scrap Object (.SHS) files are now scanned by Quick Heal. It scans all the
  43.     embedded executables inside the .SHS files.

  45. * QUARANTINE
  46.     Long awaited Quarantine feature has been added in Quick Heal X-GEN. Users
  47.     can now safely isolate and keep suspected files in Quarantine. These 
  48.     files can then be safely submitted to us for further research.

  50. * LIVE UPDATE SCHEDULAR
  51.     Live Update can be scheduled for automatically updating daily/weekly/
  52.     monthly. The users can now schedule the update once and rest assured.
  53.     It automatically updates Quick Heal. It can be configured to pick up
  54.     the definition file from Network Path/ Local Disk also. Live Update 
  55.     has also been redesigned for faster upgrade.

  57. * NEW HTML BASED HELP SYSTEM
  58.     Quick Heal help has been redesigned for better reference. The new help
  59.     is HTML based.

  62.     Quick Heal X-GEN comes with a complete new interface. The looks has been
  63.     changed for a better feel. Virus Database has been redesigned to provide
