  28. Stac provides 60 days of free StartUp service with all 
  29. software products. StartUp service is designed to help 
  30. you during the initial installation and configuration of 
  31. your software.

  36.  Stac's StartUp telephone service is available from 
  37.  8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. 
  38.  Stac's electronic services are available 24 hours a day,

  47.  Support anytime during your 60 day StartUp period. Your 
  48.  StartUp period begins after your first contact with 
  49.  Stac Service and Support. All unused StartUp service 
  50.  expires 90 days after the release of a new version of 
  51.  your software. To receive StartUp service you must 
  52.  register your Stac product and supply your product 
  53.  serial number when contacting the Service and Support 
  54.  group.

  61.  The Stac Web site service lets you read and save 
  62.  frequently asked questions (FAQs) and libraries of 
  63.  technical documents; you can also access file updates.

  66.  STAC DOWNLOAD
  67.  The Stac Download service lets you access technical 
  68.  documents and product information as well as file 
  69.  updates. Modem settings are N-8-1 at speeds up to 
  70.  14,400 baud. To access this service in the USA, call

  72.  call (+44) 1344 483 573. Supports 300-28,800 baud with 
  73.  V.32 and V.42bis.

  79. The Stac Fax service provides unlimited access to Stac's 
  80. automated fax system. The Stac Fax system delivers 
  81. technical information on Stac products directly to your

  93. OnDemand service provides fast access to Stac's Service 
  94. and Support group. Choose from two types of OnDemand 
  95. service, either Per-Minute for quick questions and 
  96. configuration help or Per-Incident for the convenience 
  97. of toll free 800 number access and extended service 
  98. hours. Each software problem is a single incident.

  100.  ONDEMAND PER-MINUTE (USA Only)
  101.  The OnDemand Per-Minute service is available from 
  102.  8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. 
  103.  The cost is $2.95 per minute. Charges are applied 
  104.  directly to your telephone bill. To access this service

  167. 2.  UPDATING THE MODEM TABLE
  168.  
  169. When you configure a modem, you choose it from a modem 
  170. list. The current list is contained in MTABLE.RCH in 
  171. your ReachOut directory. If your modem isn't in the 
  172. list, you may want to get the latest version of 
  173. MTABLE.RCH and replace the one in your ReachOut 
  174. directory. You can get the file from the Stac Web site 
  175. on the Internet or from the Stac Download Service.

  177. Once you are connected, locate and download MTABLE.EXE. 
  178. This is a self-extracting ZIP file; when you run MTABLE, 
  179. it produces MTABLE.RCH. Copy MTABLE.RCH into your 
  180. ReachOut directory and configure your modem.

  182. Replacing the modem table overlays any changes you have 
  183. made to the previous modem table. If you have added or 
  184. modified entries, don't forget to make the same changes 
  185. to the new modem table.
