Alert Messages: Historical log of all alert messages that have been processed by the Alert
system.
Alert Status: Historical log of Alert system status.
Port Configuration: Attach/Detach/Reset modems.
Default Configuration: Set default paramaters for sending alerts.
Unload Alert NLM: Unload Alert.
Configure alert handling for each application on the menu. When a generic alert is triggered
from the application, it will perform notification as specified in each of these configurations.

Enter the phone number of the Pager to which
alerts should be sent.
Enter the Pager ID number of the Pager to
receive alerts.
Enter the name of the Print Queue that the
Alert System should print Trouble Ticket
Alerts to.
Enter a string of characters 0..9, # and * that will be sent to the pager to notify you that there has been an alert of minimum priority level specified for this application.
Enter information here to notify you of an alert for this application. You can control which notification systems are used by setting the priority level for each type of alert. To get field level help select the field and press <F1>.
Highlight a user who should receive alerts and press <Enter>.
Specify whether or not you want to be notified on a remote file server if an alert of the minimum priority level set occurs.
This option only works if you have the Alert system running on both servers with modems attached to both file serves and selected from the Port Configuration Menu. Both servers must have the same configuration under Remote Server Setup.
Remember to enter the remote server's telephone number into the System Configuration.
This is a list of users that will receive
broadcast alerts. Press <INS> if you wish
to add a user. Press <DEL> if you wish to
delete a user.
This is a list of recipients that will
receive fax alert notifications.
Attach Modem To Port: Select from a list of available ports to logically attach a modem to. This allows the system to know that a modem is physically connected to certain port.
Detach Modem From Port: Logically remove a modem from the list of previously attached ports.
Reset Modem - Select from a list of previously attached modems a modem to reset.
This is the list of available ports on which this action can be taken.
Enter the baud rate at which to set the modem. Please be aware that the NetWare Asynchronous drivers are rated for a maximum baud rate and attempting to set the port for a higher baud rate will result in an error.
This field will accept characters from 0..9. If filled in, it will be sent to the pager to represent the location at which the alert occurred.
This field accepts only commas. Each comma represents a certain delay. <See your modem reference guide to find out the delay length of each comma.> The delay refers to the amount of time after the phone number is dialed but before the actual connection is made.
This is a list of phone numbers of offsite servers that will receive remote alert notifications.
This is a list of recipients that will
receive E-Mail alert notifications.
The data bits, parity and stop bits field must match on both file servers running the alert system in order to sucessfully complete remote server alerts.
By setting this field to YES or NO you can control whether or not the modem will transmit sound through its speaker.
This is an auxiliary setup string for the modem. It allows you to enter unique initialization information not set in the normal modem initialization.
This form allows you to configure your modem for pager and remote server alerts. For field level help, select the field and press <F1>.
Clear Log - This function will clear the log of any messages.
Print Log - This function will print the log to a print queue defined on this file server.
View Log - This function will allow you to view the log file on screen.
Select a queue to which to print the log file.
This is information that the Alert system needs to properly identify this version of Alert and to trigger MHS E-Mail, FAXServe and Remote Server alerts properly.

Enter into these three line up to 70 characters of text per line. These lines will appear on the trouble ticket and facsimile.
Enter the name of a FAXServe server on your network. If it is not a valid FAXServe server, the system will ask to to re-enter the information.
Enter the FAXServe server name. If it is not a valid FAXServer server on your network, the system will notify you and ask you to re-enter the information.
Enter into this field the number of fax machine to which a facsimile should be transmitted.
Enter into this field the name of the person that should receive the fax.
Enter into this field the telephone number of the remote server to which remote alerts should be transferred.
Enter the Server Name of the file server that
the central modem is attached to and any
alert that needs to be transmitted over a modem
will be sent to the specified server. If the file server does not exist, the user will be prompted for a valid server name....
Enter the Pager Number that is to be dialed
when an alert is generated. Once the Pager
Number is entered, press <CR> on the pager field to configure the pager options.
Enter the E-mail address of the person to receive E_Mail alert notifications. The format is: NAME@-HUB-
Enter the phone number of the fax machine
to which alert notifications will be sent.
Enter that name of the person that is to receive the Fax alert.
This is a list of recipients that will receive

is established. Each comma represents 1-2
seconds.

Enter the server name where the MHS Host is
located.
Enter the login id that should be used by the
Alert system when logging on to the MHS server

resides on.

This is a list of network nodes that will
receive SNMP alerts. Press <INS> to insert
a new SNMP manager address, press <DEL> to
remove an SNMP manager from the list, & press
<Enter> to modify an entry.
Enter the network address of a valid SNMP manager on the network. If the manager is running the IPX protocol stack, fill in a 4 byte Ipx network address & 6 byte Ipx Node address.
If the SNMP Manager is running the TCP/IP protocol stack, enter a 4 byte IP address in dot notation form.
Your SNMP manager may be running both protocol stacks, in which case you may want to fill in all 3 fields so that alerts will be sent via both protocol stacks.
Enter a name to associate the network address
of your SNMP manager.
Enter a 4 byte Ipx network address.
Enter a 6 byte Ipx node address.
Enter a 4 byte IP address (in dot notation form) of the SNMP manager.
These are the Ip/Ipx network addresses that
will receive alerts via SNMP.
Enter the full path of the name of the file that contains the cover sheet to use with this fax.
Enter the login id that should be used by the
Alert system when logging on to the FAXserve server to transmit a message.
