- zero, the account is disabled and no one may use it.
- ~0B |Login Hours
- Press |Enter| and select the times and days of the week that a user can
- log in to this server.
- ~0C |ACL Summary
- Press |Enter| to view the resource access control lists (ACLs) for this
- account. You can use the list to check that the resources have been set
- up correctly.
- `SO Server Startup Parameters Information
- ~00 |Configuration Type
- Press |Enter| to view a list of predefined server configurations. You may
- want to select one of the listed configurations as a starting point when
- you set up this server. The parameters for each of the options are based
- on the resources that have already been set up for this server. You may
- want to read through the Help for each of these options to decide which
- one best fits your needs for this server.
- ~01 |Maximum Users
- Press |Enter| and type in the maximum number of people that you want to
- use this server. The more users you specify, the more memory the server
- will use.
- ~02 |Number of Adapters
- Press |Enter| and type in the maximum number of adapters that you want
- this server to use. The default number is six. Each of these adapters can
- service an independent network if the corresponding adapter driver and
- NetBIOS software are installed.
- ~03 |File System Memory
- This option allows you to load the file system components of the
- LANtastic SERVER program into EMS or XMS expanded memory, thus saving
- conventional memory for DOS, application programs and other uses.
- The relevant file system components are: Maximum Open Files, Cached
- Resources and Internal SHARE.
-
- Press |Enter| to toggle between Conventional, EMS (Paged), EMS (Copied)
- and XMS memory. These memory options are listed in order of speed with
- conventional memory being the fastest and XMS the slowest. You must have
- an EMS manager (such as EMM386.EXE) installed to use the EMS (Paged) or
- EMS (Copied) options. You must have an XMS manager (such as HIMEM.SYS)
- installed to use the XMS option.
-
- Non-conventional memory is allocated in 16K (16384-byte) pages, and there
- are:
- 255 Maximum Open Files/page
- 19 Cached Resources/page
- 963 SHARE Locks/page
- 16K SHARE Space/page
-
- To get maximum use of your non-conventional memory, choose numbers that
- fill the entire page.
- ~04 |Maximum Open Files
- Normally the maximum number of files that can be opened is controlled by
- your CONFIG.SYS file with the FILES= statement. The maximum number of
- files the server can open is 255 if the FILES= statement is used. If you
- want more files opened or if you don't want to conflict with files opened
- locally, you can specify a number between 50 and 5100. This causes the
- server to allocate its own files separately from those allocated through
- the CONFIG.SYS file.
- If you specify a number between 50 and 5100 and the File System Memory
- is not conventional:
- - You can't use SHARE.EXE, you must use the server's internal SHARE
- feature.
- - Non-conventional memory is allocated in 16K (16384-byte) pages, and
- there are 255 Maximum Open Files per page. To get maximum use of your
- memory choose a number that fills the entire page (255, 510, etc.).
- ~05 |Printing
- Use this option to set up this server to share printers on the network.
- |Note| that this option must be enabled for the LANtastic Mail feature of
- the NET program to work.
- ~06 |Security
- Use this option to set up various levels of security for this server.
- ~07 |Server Control
- Use this option to allow other people to control this server's resources
- from another computer on the network. Setting up this server for remote
- control allows other people to shut down this server, flush this server's
- caches, control who uses this server and control this server's keyboard
- and screen.
- ~08 |Auditing
- Use this option to set up this server to audit selected events. Auditing
- is a good way to keep track of how the server is being used on the
- network.
- ~09 |Notification
- Use this option set up this server to notify logged-in users who have the
- O (Operator) privilege about selected events. |Note| that this option
- must be enabled if you want operator notification to work for any
- individual printer resource notification that you've set up.
- ~0A |Floppy Direct
- Press |Enter| to toggle this option between Enabled and Disabled. If this
- option is enabled, a user on the server may issue the DOS FORMAT and
- CHKDSK commands for floppy disks.
-
- |Note| that if floppy direct access is enabled and the floppy drive is
- shared on the network, you must make sure that no one formats a floppy
- disk at the same time as it's being accessed across the network.
- ~0B |Remote Booting
- This option allows you to set up this server for remote booting. Press
- |Enter| to toggle this option between Enabled and Disabled. If you choose
- Enabled, you'll need to use the Remote Boot Maintenance option from the
- Main Functions menu to specify which computers can remote boot from this
- server. |Note| that those computers must also be set up for remote booting.
- ~0C |Non-DOS Disk Support
- If this server is set up to share non-DOS disks, for example a CD-ROM or
- OS/2 drive, you may need to use this option to increase the value that
- appears in parentheses. This value is the number of non-DOS disk entries
- supported by this server. You may need to increase this value if you're
- unable to scan the complete directory structure of a NON-DOS disk.
- ~0F |Setting the Network Buffer Size
- Use this option to change the size of the network buffer that this server
- will use for each networking task. If you increase the buffer size,
- you'll improve server performance but also use more server memory.
- ~10 |Setting the Request Buffer Size
- Use this option to specify the size of the buffer that the server uses to
- process requests from other network users. If you increase the request
- buffer size, you'll improve server response time. One of these buffers is
- allocated to each of the users you've allowed to simultaneously log in
- to this server (this is the number you specified in the Maximum Users
- field on this Server Startup Parameters menu). |Note| that the size of this
- buffer also determines which requests this server will handle in "burst"
- mode. LANtastic's burst mode feature can significantly improve network
- performance. However, burst mode will only be used if the computer
- sending the request has been set up to support this feature and this
- server's request buffer size is large enough to handle the request.
- The Request size buffer has to be the same size as or smaller than the
- Network Buffer size + 16 bytes.
- ~11 |Network Tasks
- Use this option to specify the number of tasks the server can handle at
- the same time. Each network task requires a network buffer, so increasing
- this number also increases the amount of memory the server will use.
-
- Typically, the more people who are going to be using this server at the
- same time, the higher the number of network tasks you should set. In
- general, the number of network tasks you need to set will be 1/4 of the
- maximum number of users allowed to log in to this server, plus one. For
- example, if the maximum number of users is set for 16, set the network
- tasks value to five (16รท4+1).
-
- |Note| that if you have multiple adapters in this server, the number of
- network tasks must be the same as or greater than the number of adapters
- you want to use.
-
- ~12 |Run Burst
- Use this option to specify the maximum number of ticks (1/18th of a
- second) that the server will take to process network requests. After the
- specified number of ticks has elapsed, the server will release the CPU
- for foreground tasks. A large Run Burst value increases network speed but
- reduces the speed of local tasks on the server.
- ~13 |Cached Resources
- Use this option to specify the number of server resources that will have
- user access information cached. Increasing this value can greatly improve
- server response time by reading information directly from memory instead
- of from the server's drive. For maximum performance make this equal to
- the number of resources defined.
- - The resource information can be stored in extended or expanded memory
- with the File System Memory option. Non-conventional memory is
- allocated in 16K (16384-byte) pages, and there are 19 Cached Resources
- per page. To get maximum use of your memory, choose a number that fills
- the entire page (19, 38, etc.).
- ~14 |Seek Cache Size
- Use this option to specify the size of the cache used to store random
- access location information. In most cases, setting a larger cache size
- increases the speed at which random reads and writes on a server's disk
- can be completed.
- ~15 |Lock Hold Time
- Use this option to specify the length of time in ticks (1/18th of a
- second) that the server will wait for a record lock before assuming the
- request has failed. If you are using an application that supports file
- locking, setting a higher lock hold time can improve server response
- time.
- ~16 |Internal SHARE
- Use this option to configure LANtastic's internal SHARE support.
- - The SHARE information can be stored in extended or expanded memory
- with the File System Memory option.
-
- `SB Size of the Network Buffer
- The size of buffer the server uses for network communication. Specifying
- a large buffer will increase network performance but may decrease
- response time while working on this server. Specifying a smaller buffer
- size delays response time on the network but may improve response time on
- this server. If you plan to set up this computer as a dedicated server,
- you can choose a large buffer size.
-
- The default value of 4096 gives adequate network performance while using
- little memory. If you're extremely short of memory, choose the 2048 size.
- `DR Creating, Removing and Modifying Shared Resources
- This screen lists all the resources that have been set up to be shared by
- this server on the network. You can use this screen to create new shared
- resources or remove or modify existing shared resources.
-
- When you're creating resources, choose names that can be easily
- understood by other people. For example, if you want to share this
- server's C: drive, use the name C-DRIVE. If you want to share a directory
- containing payroll information, use the name PAYROLL.
-
- You can also use this screen to create printer and mail resources. These
- resources require an "@" sign at the beginning of their names. The
- default printer resource name is @PRINTER. @MATRIX and @LPT1 are examples
- of custom names for printer resources. @MAIL is always the name of the
- mail resource.
-
- You may also create a Printer Pool resource that contains an expanded
- listing from available resources.
-
- To create a shared network resource, press |Ins|. You'll be prompted for
- the necessary information. To remove a shared network resource, select it
- and press |Del|. To modify a shared network resource, select it and press
- |Enter|.
-
- Other people can view a list of the resources shared by this server by
- using LANtastic's NET program.

- privilege will be notified of an event that requires intervention; for
- example, when the printer is out of paper.
- ~03 |Notification T/O
- If this option is enabled, this is the time (in seconds) that
- must elapse before the notification is sent. If the situation is
- corrected before the specified time period expires, the notification is
- canceled.
- ~04 |Job Notification
- If this option is enabled, you'll be notified when your printer
- job is finished.
- ~05 |Banner Page
- If this option is enabled, a banner page will be printed before each
- print job. Each banner shows the username, machine name, optional
- comments, the date and time the job was printed, the number of copies
- printed and other information.
- ~06 |Banner Paper Width
- If the banner page option is enabled, you may set this field to the
- proper paper width to make the banner. You don't need to set this field if
- you are using standard 8.5" x 11" paper.
- ~07 |Form Feeds
- If this option is enabled, a form feed command will be sent to the
- printer after each print job.
- ~08 |Immediate Despooling
- If this option is enabled, the print job will start printing immediately,
- even before all the information has been sent to the queue. This is useful
- if you're printing large jobs such as graphics files.
- ~09 |Despool Timeout
- If immediate despooling is enabled, this option lets you set the amount
- of time that the currently despooling job may remain idle before it is
- closed and another job is sent to the printer.
- ~0A |Lines Per Page
- This field allows you to specify the number of lines you want printed on
- each page. A form feed command will be sent after the specified number of
- lines have been printed.
- ~0B |Tab Width
- Entering any value except a zero (0) in this field enables tab expansion
- and specifies the number of spaces the despooler will insert in the print
- job every time a tab is encountered. This is useful for printers that do
- not support tabs. A typical tab setting is 8.
- ~0C |Chars/Second
- This option sets the minimum number of characters that the despooler will
- send to the printer each second, regardless of the task the server is
- performing. If you set a value that is greater than the maximum number of
- characters per second that your computer can output, your computer will
- take some time away from other functions in order to achieve the value
- set in this field.
- ~0D |Setup Delay
- This field allows you to specify the number of seconds the despooler will
- wait between sending the setup string to the printer and sending the
- actual data to be printed. This is useful for printers that need time to
- initialize the setup string.
- ~0E |Cleanup Delay
- This field allows you to specify the number of seconds the despooler will
- wait after sending the cleanup file. This is useful for printers that need
- time to initialize after the cleanup file is sent.
- ~0F |Edit Setup String
- This option allows you to edit the setup string that the despooler will
- send to the printer at the start of a print job. This string can be used
- to set the print size, print quality mode and other parameters. You can
- create multiple printer names to designate the same physical printer in
- various modes. For example, you could call high-speed draft mode @DRAFT
- and call letter-quality mode @LQ.
-
- Instead of a setup string you can enter setup and cleanup filenames. The
- setup file is output before the banner page. The cleanup file is output
- after your print job completes.
- ~0G |Access Control
- While you can enable or disable any of the access control rights, the
- only ones that have any effect are:
-
- |R| - Read access
- |W| - Write access
- |C| - Create files
- |L| - Allow file lookups (DIRs)
-

- keys to highlight a resource and press |Enter|. The resource will
- appear in the Pool Resources screen.
-
- The Pool Resources screen shows the resources that have been selected
- for use from the Available Pool Resources screen. A maximum of 8
- pool resources can be selected.
-
- You can use the |Tab| key to switch between the active screens. This
- enables you to place pool resources in a specific order of priority in
- the Pool Resources screen. For example, when you activate the Pool
- Resources screen and highlight a current resource, any resource you then
- add from the Available Pool Resources screen will be placed above that
- selection.
-
- When the Pool Resources screen is active, you can use the |Delete| key to
- delete resource items from it.
-
- `IS Printer Initialization Strings
- Enter an initialization string (64-character maximum) that will be sent
- to your printer before each print job. Refer to your printer manual for
- the setup codes to use with your printer.
- `SF Setup Filenames
- Enter the full path to your printer setup file. The path must start with
- a drive letter followed by a colon (:), unless you're setting up a remote
- resource and want to use a setup file on the remote server. In this case,
- the filename should begin with a backslash '\' and contain the path to the
- setup file. Don't include the \\SERVER name in the path.
- `CF Cleanup Filenames
- Enter the full path to your printer cleanup file. The path must start
- with a drive letter followed by a colon (:), unless you're setting up a
- remote resource and want to use a cleanup file on the remote server. In
- this case, the filename should begin with a backslash '\' and contain the
- path to the setup file. Don't include the \\SERVER name in the path.
- `AC Access Control Lists (ACL)
- You can use this screen to view the access rights that have been set up
- for the selected shared directory, printer or mail resource. You can also
- modify the access rights for the selected resource. The following types
- of access can be specified:
-
- |R| - Read Access
- User can open a file for reading.
- |W| - Write Access
- User can open a file for writing.
- |C| - Create File
- User can only create a new file. If Write is enabled, a user can
- create and overwrite an existing file.

- User can create a new subdirectory.
- |L| - Allow File Lookups (DIR command)
- User can display/search a directory or subdirectory.
- |D| - Delete Files
- User can delete a file.
- |K| - Delete Directories
- User can remove/delete a subdirectory.
- |N| - Rename Files
- User can give a file a new name.
- |E| - Allow Program Execution
- User has the right to execute a program. For some programs such
- Microsoft Windows, you must give the user the R (Read Access) right
- instead of the E right to allow him or her to execute the program.
- |A| - Allow File Attributes to be Changed
- A user can change attributes of files in the shared directory.
- |I| - Directory Supports Indirect Files
- References to an indirect file will cause the contents of the indirect
- file to be replaced with the contents of the file that the indirect
- file points to.
- |P| - Allow Physical Access to Devices
- A user can connect to DOS devices directly and not through the
- despooler. This may result in the remote system waiting a long time
- for a printer request. During these times network requests and local
- requests can be suspended.
- |Warning...| To avoid print job delays, it's a good idea not to enable
- the P access right.
-
- An access control list (ACL) is a list of usernames and their associated
- rights. For example:
- ADMIN_* RWCMLDKNEAI-
- CARL RW--L---E---
- * ----L-------
- The first ACL, ADMIN_*, specifies that any user with the first six
- letters "ADMIN_," such as ADMIN_NED, has full access to the server's
- shared resource that contains this ACL. CARL is allowed to read, write,
- look up files and execute programs but cannot delete or rename files. All
- other users (designated by the "*") can only look up files.
-
- You can use the following keys to manage your ACLs:
- |Ins| - Add a new ACL.
- |Del| - Delete an existing ACL.
- |F3| - Allow all access.
- |F4| - Deny all access.
- |F9| - Save the current ACL.
- |F10| - Restore the previously saved ACL.

- `AU Entering the Account Name
- Enter a unique account name. An account name can be up to 16 characters
- long. It must not cannot contain any spaces or control characters.
- Typically networks should be set up using account names that clearly
- identify individual users (individual accounts) or groups of users
- (wildcard accounts).
-
- Individual account names might include the name of the person who you
- want to allow to use this server. For example, BILL or JONES.
-
- Wildcard accounts may be named so that you can limit access for groups of
- users, for example, different departments in your company. There might
- be a group of accounts for the payroll department, for example, called
- PAY1, PAY2, PAY3 and so on. A PAY* wildcard account would then include
- all the accounts in your payroll department. Other wildcard accounts
- might be named SALES* or ENG-*. Later, when you set access rights on
- shared resources you can use these names to allow or deny rights to
- individual users or groups of users.
-

-
- |Note| that the password is not case-sensitive, so an "A" and an "a" are
- functionally the same character.
- `TD Login Hours
- You are currently viewing the days and times that the selected account is
- allowed access to this server. A diamond () appears for every 30-minute
- block of time the account is allowed access.
-
- You can move the cursor through the blocks of time and restrict or allow
- user access by pressing |Del| or |Ins| respectively. If a user's

- press |Enter|.
-
- `NT Network Tasks
- Enter the number of tasks you want the server to be able to handle at the
- same time. Each network task requires a network buffer, so increasing this
- number also increases the amount of memory the server will use.
-
- Typically, the more people who are going to be using this server at the
- same time, the higher the number of network tasks you should set. In
- general, the number of network tasks you need to set will be 1/4 of the
- maximum number of users allowed to log in to this server, plus one. For
- example, if the maximum number of users is set for 16, set the network
- tasks to five (16รท4+1).
-
- |Note| that if you have multiple adapters in this server, the number of
- network tasks must be the same as or greater than the number of adapters
- you want to use.
- `PT Printer Tasks
- Enter the number of local printer tasks you want the server to be able to
- handle at the same time. If this server has more than one printer
- attached, you may want to send jobs to multiple printers at the same
- time. To do this, set this field to the number of printers you have
- attached to this server.
- `MO Maximum Open Files
- Enter the maximum number of files you want the server to be able to keep
- open at any given time. Entering a value of zero causes the maximum
- number of files specified by the FILES= command in CONFIG.SYS file to be
- used.
- `RB Run Buffer Size
- This option allows you to specify the size of the buffer used for NET RUN
- commands. This buffer defaults to 32 bytes, and can range from 32 to
- 1024 bytes.

- available.
- ~01 |Change Password
- Select this option if you want to change the password used to run
- NET_MGR.
- `TW Tab Width
- Enter the tab width in characters. A typical value is 8. |Note| that you
- should set this value to zero if you're defining a graphics printer
- because some graphics characters take the same value as tabs.
- `WI Paper Width
- Enter the number of characters you want on each line. This is used to
- determine the width of the banner page. If you're using standard 8.5" x
- 11" paper, you don't need to set this field.
- `CS Characters per Second
- Enter the minimum printing rate you want in characters per second. The
- server will attempt to output characters at this rate to the printer. If

- selected entry deletes it from the list. Pressing |Enter| on an existing
- entry allows you to edit it.
- `RC Enter the Name of the Remote Account Server
- This is the name of the server where the desired account file exists.
- `RD Enter the Adapter of the Remote Account Server
- This is the adapter where the desired account server exists. Entering the
- correct adapter number speeds up the search process. If you're unsure of
- the adapter on which the server can be accessed, enter 255 to search all
- adapters.
- `GA ACL Groups
- This is a list of all the ACL Groups of which this account is a member
- Press |Del| to remove a group from the list. Press |Ins| to view a list
- of defined groups.
- `GB Defined ACL Groups
- This is a list of all the known ACL Groups. The members column shows the
- total number of group members. Press |Enter| to select a group. Press
- |Ins| to add a group that doesn't appear on the list. A total of 64 unique
- groups can be defined.
- `GC ACL Group Name
- Enter the name of the ACL Group. To change the name of an ACL Group, you
- must delete the existing group and create a new one.
- `GD File-Level Security
- This is a list of all the security you've set up for the specified files.
- Use the following keys to manage your file-level security:
- |Enter| - If you want to change the name of the selected file.
- |Ins| - If you want to add a new file name.
- |Del| - If you want to remove the selected file from the list.
- |Tab| - If you want to switch to the ACL screen. You can then
- add or delete ACLs or modify the access rights for the
- selected ACL.
-
- Note: You cannot allow more access rights for a file template than you allow
- for the entire shared resource. For example, if a user is allowed only R,
- L and E rights to the entire shared drive, he cannot have W access to any
- files or directories within that shared resource.
-
- You can include wildcard characters to set access for a group of files.
- For example, entering *.EXE would set access rights for all files with
- the .EXE extension in the specified path. You can also enter the special
- "..." wildcard, which will match any subdirectories contained within the
- directory. For example, if you create the template "\...\*.BAT" any batch
- file within the root directory or any subdirectory of the shared resource
- will have the access rights you set. The following is an example of
- protecting all executable files in the UTIL directory and all of its sub-
- directories from being overwritten, deleted, renamed, etc., while still
- allowing all users to execute the files:
-
- \UTIL\...\*.EXE * R---L---E
-
- You can also use multiple wildcard characters to specify the names of
- directories and files. For example, the template "\WIN*\...\*.INI"
- indicates that any files having the INI extension within any directories
- that start with the letters WIN and all of their subdirectories will
- have common access rights. The following is an example of protecting all
- .INI files in the WIN* directory while granting full access to users
- belonging to the ADMIN group:
-
- \WIN*\...\*.INI ADMIN RWCMLDKNEA
- * R---L
-

- from the resource Access Control List. File level security is the
- process of selectively removing rights previously granted in the
- resource Access Control List.
- `GF File Names
- Enter the name of the file to which you want to add security. You can use
- the wildcard ("*") and question mark ("?") characters to specify groups of
- files. For example, you could type in TH??.BAT to add security to files
- that are named THEM.BAT, THAT.BAT and so on. Or you could type in TH* to
- match all files starting with the characters TH.
- `GG Operator Notification Timeout

- the NET program to work. But, however you set this option, you'll still
- be able to run other mail packages.
- ~01 |Printer Tasks
- Press |Enter| and type in the number of local printer tasks you want this
- server to be able to handle at the same time. If this server has more than
- one printer attached, you may want to send jobs to multiple printers at
- the same time. To do this, set this field to the number of printers you
- have attached to this server.
-
- Each printer task uses a printer buffer for despooling. The more printer
- tasks you set, the more server memory you'll use.
-
- |Note| that you'll also need to add another printer task if you want a
- spooled keyboard resource to despool while a printer is printing a job.
- ~02 |Printer Buffer Size
- Press |Enter| and type in the size of the printer buffer this server will
- use to print a file. A larger buffer generally increases printing
- efficiency and speed, but uses more server memory.
- ~03 |Initial Despooling Mode
- Press |Enter| to toggle initial despooling on and off. When this function
- is enabled, jobs in the print queue begin printing as soon as the server
- program is run. When this function is disabled, jobs in the queue aren't
- printed until despooling is started by issuing a NET START or ONE-JOB
- command.
- ~04 |Periodic Maintenance
- Press |Enter| to toggle periodic maintenance on and off. When this
- function is enabled, the file that controls all server printing will be
- periodically rebuilt to optimize printing speed. Normally, this file is
- optimized every time you run the server program. However, if you leave
- the server program running for days at a time and/or sometimes have many
- jobs waiting to be printed, it's a good idea to enable this option so
- that the file is rebuilt automatically.
- ~05 |RPS Support
- Press |Enter| to toggle remote print server (RPS) support on and off. If
- you have remote resources and want them to be printed by remote print
- servers, enable this option.
- ~06 |Printer Streams

- control your printers through streams, enable this option. Printer streams
- are a way of controlling which "@devices" the server is allowed to
- despool.
- ~07 |Immediate Despooling
- Press |Enter| to toggle immediate despooling on and off. If you've set up
- resources for immediate despooling and want jobs to start printing before
- the entire file is spooled, enable this option. |Note| that this can also
- be used to disable immediate despooling on all resources.
- ~08 |HP JetDirect Support
- Press |Enter| to toggle HP JetDirect printer support on and off. If you've
- set up multiple HP JetDirect resources and don't want to use them the next
- time you start SERVER, disable this option. |Note| that this option can

- ~09 |CS Print Support
- Press |Enter| to toggle CS Print support on and off. If you've
- set up multiple CS Print resources and don't want to use them the next
- time you start SERVER, disable this option. |Note| that this option can
- also be used to enable the use of these resources.
- `WS Security Configuration Information
- The options on this screen allow you to set up various levels of security
- for this server.
- ~00 |Send Server ID
- Press |Enter| to toggle this option on and off. If you enable this option,
- the server's name will be broadcast to all users on the network. If this
- option is disabled, a user will have to know this server's name before he
- can log in. This is a useful way to set up basic security for this
- server.
- ~01 |Login Accounts
- Press |Enter| to toggle this option on and off. If you disable this
- option, anyone will be able to log in to the server, without using
- account names. If you enable this option, a user will have to use a valid
- individual or wildcard account to log in to this server. Enabling this
- option sets up another level of security for this server.
- ~02 |Account Servers
- Press |Enter| to view a list of servers that will be accessed at startup.
- The server will call each of the servers in the order in which they're
- listed. When it finds an available server, it will then use the individual
- and wildcard accounts that were set up on that server. Note that this
- option is only available if the Login Accounts option is enabled.
- ~03 |Access Control Lists
- Press |Enter| to toggle this option on and off. If you enable this option,
- ACLs will be checked before other people are allowed to use a given
- resource. If you disable this option, anyone who successfully logs in to
- this server will have full access to all this server's resources. Enabling
- this option sets up another level of security for this server.
- ~04 |File Level ACLs
- Press |Enter| to toggle this option on and off. If you enable this option,
- file-level ACLs will be checked before other people are allowed to use a
- given file on a resource. If you disable this option, this server won't
- check for any file-level security that has been set up. Note that this
- option is only available if the Access Control Lists option is enabled.
- ~05 |Group ACLs
- Press |Enter| to toggle this option on and off. If you enable this option,
- Group ACL rights will be checked before other people are allowed to use a
- given resource. If you disable this option, this server won't check any
- ACL Group rights that have been set up. Note that this option is only
- available if the Access Control Lists option is enabled.
- `WC Remote Control Information
