  8. SmartWheel is an application that extends the useability of
  9. the Microsoft Intellimouse or compatible devices to the
  10. majority of applications, including those that were not
  11. originally programmed to use it.

  13. As well as providing vertical up and down scrolling by 
  14. rotating the wheel it also provides the rather neat panning 
  15. effect where you click the wheel and then move the mouse 
  16. around to "pan" around the document, vertically, horizontally 
  17. or even diagonally.

  19. The panning effect is also available to users of standard 
  20. 3-button mice, by using the middle mouse button.
  21.   
  22. Requires: WINDOWS 95 or NT and an Intellimouse or compatible
  23. mouse with a "wheel" between the two mouse buttons. Limited
  24. functionality is available with a standard 3-button mouse.
