You are receiving the message: For Photography Workshop to run correctly, the color palette must be set to High Color (16-bit).
SOLUTION:
Using the right mouse button, click on the desktop. Select Properties from the pop-up menu. Select the Settings tab. Under the Color Palette pull down menu select High Color (16 bit) and Restart your computer.
PROBLEM:
Errors displaying files, reading the CD-ROM drive, and printing (among assorted others).
SOLUTION:
Do not run any other applications simultaneously with Photography Workshop. This includes any TSR's or Startup applications. (e.g. Microsoft Office or Bookshelf, Packard Bell Navigator). There should be no other programs listed in the task bar at the bottom of the screen.
SOUND IS CHOPPY OR DISTORTED:
This has to do with QuickTime, which runs the Video and Animation for the program
All we need to do is change a couple of settings in the QuickTime program and
it should solve the problem.
To do this:
Click on Start
Go to Settings
Click on Control Panel
Look for and Double Click on the QuickTime Icon (you may have more than
one icon for QuickTime, but we are looking for the icon with the Blue Q)
In the window that appears it will say About QuickTime with a drop down arrow -
Click on the drop down arrow
Select Sound Out from the menu that appears
Click on the drop down arrow next to Direct Sound and select Wave Out
(if you have more than one option for wave out you will want to select
Wave out- (the name of your sound card))
Click on the drop down arrow for Rate: and select 22.050 KHz
Click on the drop down arrow at the top of the window next to Sound Out and
select Video Settings
Change the selected item from Options to Safe Mode (GDI Only)
