Transcription: Cut the onion in half lengthwise. Place one of the halves cut side down on the cutting board. Slice the onion lengthwise cutting two but not through the root end. Then cut across the onion to cut into pieces the size of peas. Discard the root end. Repeat with the remaining onion half.
