Pressure, irritation and damage to the nerves and tendons that pass through a channel (the "tunnel") formed by eight small wrist bones protecting the median nerve.
Symptoms include pain, numbness, tingling or burning in the fingers, hand, or forearms.
Computing-related CTS is caused by repetitive motion while the wrist is either flexed (bent with the palm lower than the wrist) or extended (bent with the palm higher than the wrist)....e palm higher than the wrist).

Repetitive motion over long periods of time
Pressure on nerves and muscles
Sustaining awkward body positions for long periods
Lack of opportunity for the body to heal
RSIs are common among computer users that spend long hours using a keyboard or mouse. as well as among workers on assembly lines. lines..
