  22. This CD contains six great games by Soft Rock. These are -

  24.                 !Brix
  25.                 !DropRock2
  26.                 !Exeria2
  27.                 !Floopy
  28.                 !Guardians
  29.                 !Switch
  30.  
  31. All of these are now rather old, and some may not be quite up to the
  32. standard of some of todays games, but they are all entertaining and fun
  33. to play. All except !Floopy have been modified to work on any machine,
  34. including a Strong ARM Risc PC. !Floopy does not work on a Strong ARM,
  35. though a non Strong ARM RISC-PC or A7000 is OK, although it can be made
  36. to work (though rather slowly) if you switch off the cache (press F12
  37. and type 'cache off').

  39. You will find full instructions for playing these games in the 'DOCS'
  40. directory.

  42. In addition to these six games there is a much improved and hitherto
  43. unreleased version of !Trellis, the adventure game interpreter. As well
  44. as !Trellis itself there are two sample games, !Pyramid and !Crystal,
  45. complete with the source for these games. Full instructions are provided
  46. to help you to write your own adventures.

  48. As well as the games themselves you will see an application called
  49. !SOFTDATA. Copy this to a writable disc, like a hard drive or floppy
  50. disc. Before you begin to play double-click on the !SOFTDATA program on
  51. the writable disc. High scores, game positions, Options and other data
  52. will then be Saved in the !SOFTDATA program. If you don't do this then
  53. the programs will try to save these files to the CD, which obviously
  54. isn't possible, so you will not be able to save anything.

  56. In order to get some games to work on the RISC-PC it has been necessary
  57. to disable the sound, although this will still work on earlier machines.

  61. the purchaser who is permitted to copy a game onto a hard drive or other
