- Instructions
- ------------
-
- Switch is a very easy to understand (random) puzzle game in which you must
- match up counters of the same colour on the bottom row of a grid, in order
- to make them disappear. These will then be replaced by more, falling in from
- above, continuing on until your time runs out.
-
- There are 9 levels of difficulty, with 10 time limits each, making a total
- of 90 levels, each with its own high score, stored on disk, for you to
- beat.
-
-
- Title Screen
- ------------
-
- On the title screen you can use the mouse to select options, such as
- changing the level, simply by clicking the option with the select button.
-
- In the case of the difficulty levels, click the arrows to increase or
- decrease the number shown. The first number is the difficulty level (1 is
- the easiest, 9 the hardest) and the second is the playing time (0 is the
- longest, 9 the shortest.)
-
- Pressing <shift> and <escape> together will return you to RISC OS.
-
-
- Playing
- -------
-
- Play is controlled with the mouse.
-
- If you click Select on the arrows to the left and right of the bottom
- row, that row will move in that direction. Using Adjust moves it in the
- other direction. The counter that disappears off one end reappears at
- the other end.
-
- If you click Select on any counter on the bottom row (except the end
- ones) the two counters either side of it will switch places. Clicking
- Adjust on one will make it disappear, to be replaced from above. Each
- time you do this, however, you prevent your next 'match' from resulting
- in a score. The number of times matches are ignored is shown at the
- bottom left of the playing area as 'LOSE'
-
- Pressing <Escape> returns you to the options screen.
-
- You score 10 for matching two counters. Matching three is slightly more
- difficult and scores 75. To match four requires clever positioning and
- luck, and scores 150. Matching five or more is unlikely, but possible,
- and earns you more still.
