Each Article in Risc Mag is stored as a text file on disc. There is a single window template file which is used every time an article is to be displayed.
In the document all text is displayed using Trinity Medium at 12pt by default. Other styles are available. These are:
Title:
Font: Homerton Bold
Size: 24pt
Command: <Tl>
Quote:
Font: Trinity Medium Italic
Size: 12pt
Command: <Qu>
Program:
Font: Corpus Bold
Size: 12pt
Command: <Pr>
User:
Font: Defined at start of text
Size: Defined at start of text
Command: <Ur>
To use a style, at the start of a line insert the command. Now press return and then type the line to be in that style. The next line reverts to the normal style again.
To define a style, The first line of the document must be a font name like; Trinity.Bold.Italic The next line must be a whole number between 0 and 72. Now insert a new line and type the article in. Even if you aren't going to use another style you must define one or the first 3 line of your document are missed off.
Graphics
The document format has been extended to display sprites and drawfiles in the article windows. Two commands are provided: <Sp> The next line is the sprite name to display, this must be in Risc Mags
private sprite file.
<Dr> The next line is the name of the drawfile (in RiscMag.Resources.

It would be helpful if any pieces you write are typed in. Please send them on a disc (Either density) as a text file including the commands if possible. All discs will naturally be returned (With PD software if you like). Submissions printed out & hand written will be happily accepted.
