- Before this demo starts... Before the latest in a long line of moral scrolltexts begins... Before I,⇦⇨⇩ the Doomwatcher begin to speak... There has got to be a hideous warning... This demo carries a Government Health Warning. If you are at all worried about the future,if you can't stand the thought of things to come,or if you really can't be bothered... ¦RESET your computer now! Now that we've got that over with,we can finally display the dreaded name of the latest ⇦⇨⇩soft demo...¨ © I won't leave it up for too long,in case any one gets ¢worried . But why call it §Armageddon ? Well,why not! Let's forget all this rubbish,and get on with something worth saying. This is my fifth demo,but who am I? (You should know,if you've bought this demo) I am ¡⇦⇨⇩ the Doomwatcher ,only writer in ¡⇦⇨⇩soft . (What did you think to the ¡bouncing effect? Pathetic? Well,we can do more than ¡bounce single words,we can £bounce the entire text! Where was I? Ah,yes,I am ¡⇦⇨⇩ the Doomwatcher£,and this is a demonstration of my programming skills. (stop sniggering!) It's the fifth demonstration of my programming skills (I'm sure I've said that before!),the other four being !⇦⇨⇩demo1,!§QRT demo 1,!§QRT demo 2 and !§Solemnis .It's also the prelude to my next demo,the ¦⇦⇨⇩soft megademo . However,the real reason for writing this demo is so I can say all the profound things I usually have to say,instead of (for example) §Hi to Fred and Joe .I feel that more and more demos nowadays are full of such naff credits such as these,which really is a waste of time and disc space.However I must congratulate ¥AltMan,Armaxess,and AMF the Doomwatcher for their scrolltexts,as they really are the best.That brings me onto another subject,that of modesty.¥Brothers in ARM are notorious for modesty,or rather their lack of it.Here at ⇦⇨⇩soft,we keep things simple and don't boast about our (mine rather!) programming skills.One thing I do agree with while we're on the subject of demos is addresses.If you want to contact the legendary (?) ⇦⇨⇩ the Doomwatcher,you can do so by writing to: The Monastery of Doomwatcher Monks, 50 Burlington Way, Mickleover, Derby, DE3 5BD, England. I appreciate free software,donations,ideas,comments and virtually anything apart from viruses (I scan my discs for them anyway!),letter bombs,poll tax collectors etc. One final point about demo writers.I agree with Epics from Armaxess with his opinion of §amigas ,but you'll have to read all of his demo to find out,won't you? Anyway,time passes,and I still haven't said anything profound.Maybe I will.Maybe I will switch the text to £this,as I'm rather bored.Don't be bored,be very bored,as I always say.
