  15. This program uses the utterly utter WimpExt module: If your version is below
  16. 2.10 (and it probably will be), update it with the one inside !Haxis.

  18. Anyway, about Haxis...
  19.  
  20. Recently, the world has seen the release of two cheating programs, Gay
  21. Wazzard, and our own most excellent Hacker program. However, TBA software
  22. think they are clever and have put code in their (rather good) game Axis to
  23. prevent these programs from running. What !Haxis does is to run Axis without
  24. its protection, so you can have freely hack it. I warn you, Axis is itself
  25. quite difficult to hack, so if you only have Gay Wazzard you will find it
  26. almost impossible to get anything, however the save-screen and slow-down
  27. options might be quite useful. Also you could use The Hacker's PicRip code
  28. to find the map of each level and so on.

  30. There are two methods of using Haxis:
  31.  
  32. 1. The easy way.
  33.  
  34. First run Hacker or Gay Wazzard. Then run !Haxis. Simply insert Axis disc one
  35. and click on the icon bar (with SELECT or ADJUST - clicking MENU brings up a
  36. menu with Info and Quit options). Axis should load and run as usual, but you
  37. will be able to interrupt like any normal game.

  39. 2. The interesting way.

  41. Run Hacker or run and set up Gay Wazzard. Run !Haxis. Then find your copy of
  42. Axis (my version will only run off floppy, but new versions may not, I don't
  43. know), and drag the !Axis icon to the icon bar !Haxis icon. A save window
  44. will open. You can either run Axis straight away as before (click on "Run
  45. Axis"), or drag the module to a filer window somewhere - on a hard drive or
  46. something, DO NOT save the module to the original Axis disc. Then all you
  47. need to do is double-click on the module to run Axis.

  63. If you are lucky, a Hacker CheatMod for Axis might have been distributed with
  64. !Haxis. This doesn't need Haxis to run, just double-click on the CheatMod,
  65. and run Axis as normal. Then press right CTRL and 3 for 3-way fire, right
  66. CTRL and O to get lots of orbitals, right CTRL and P for infinite power, and
  67. right CTRL and T for infinite time. This was created with The Hacker, using
