  3. Syntax: isnan ( A )

  5. Description:

  7.     isnan returns TRUE (1) if A is a NaN (Not A Number). If A is a
  8.     vector or a matrix the test is performed element-by-element,
  9.     and a matrix the same size as A is returned.
  10.  
  11.     NaNs can be create by the 0/0 operation on most computers.
