- !Ex Application
- ---------------
-
- Dragging a directory to the !Ex icon on the icon bar will issue
- an *EX command for that directory to display full information
- about all the objects in the directory.
-
- The same information can be obtained by setting the display
- option for a directory viewer to "Full Info", but some users (me
- for example) will find !Ex more convenient to use.
-
- Dragging a file (rather than a directory) to the !Ex icon will
- issue an *EX command for the directory containing the file
- (see also !FileInfo application).
-
- Clicking on the !Ex icon on the icon bar will issue an *EX
- command without any operands to display information about the
- current directory.
-
- The *EX command is issued by the !RunA obey file which also
- includes *ECHO commands to select screen mode 0 and to select
- paged scrolling. This avoids the problem of viewing the output in
- a desktop output window which would not be wide enough to show
- the display in convenient form.
