- *** INTRODUCTION ***
-
- This helpful utility was written by the author to combat those nasty
- duplicated labels which seem to pop up in your programs, and now with
- lovely arcs about your programs have grown in size to produce more labels
- and therefore more chance of duplicating labels. The original BBC version
- was published in the BAU some eons ago, and here is the lovely ARC version
- written by Ben J. Dooks.
-
- *** USE ***
-
- Just drag a BASIC file (there are some examples in the directory examples)
- to the (not a text file SETTYPED as BASIC) to the application's icon and sit
- back while it loads and checks the file. An error message will appear if
- there is not enough memory or there is a problem with the BASIC file,
- an error window will appear. The information window will appear once loaded
- and show statistics on the file, the filename as well. The number of
- duplicated labels will be shown on this window. Clicking MENU on the
- application's icon will bring up a standard menu shown below:
-
- Info ⇨ - The information window
- Save ⇨ - The save window
- Labels... - Opens the Labels window showing all Labels
- Info... - Opens the Program Information window
- Quit - Quit application
-
- There are shorter versions of this menu available by clicking menu over
- either the 'Program Info' or 'Labels' window. The layout of the labels
- window is so, with multiple labels highlighted in RED, with a GREEN
- duplication number :
-
- Line Number <Duplication Number> Label (without preceding dot)
-
- The program will tell you if you have not given it a valid basic file
- to look at or there are no labels to look at. If there is invalid line
- numbering in the program, i.e. a line 10 followed by a line 9 then the
- program will warn you that the line numbering is not sequential
-
- The save box has an option to save multiple labels only, and this
- is done by setting the option icon at the bottom to ON.
-
- *** EXAMPLES ***
-
- In the applications directory there should be an examples directoy
- with four example BASIC files :
-
- Basic?Hmm - A file SETTYPED as BASIC but not really
- MultLabels - A file full of lovelly multiple labels
- NoLabels - A file with no labels and funny numbering
- UnSeqLines - A file with funny line numbering
-
-
- *** FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS ***
-
- - Check text files (I.E. untokenised BASIC, etc.)
- - Skip bits of corrupted/bad basic files
- - Auto line numbering of you choice to replace the standard line nos.
-
- I will endeavour to release new versions with these features in as soon
- as I have more time/a computer to work on.
-
- *** MISCELLANEOUS ***

- any CHANGES being made to it. Files about the distributer may be added, but
