  1. !Help for ReName

  3. ReName will rename a file to a preconfigured setting.
  4. You can drag iether a single file or a group of selected files
  5. to the ReName icon on the icon bar.  They will then be
  6. sequentialy renamed.
  7.  
  8. There are two parts to the name.  The filename itself and the
  9. sequential suffix.  This is a numeric sequence which
  10. increments whenever a new file is renamed.
  11. Remember that under the current RiscOS filing system, you can
  12. have upto a max of 12 characters in a filename. So although
  13. you can configure ReName to deliver longer names, the suffix
  14. will end up being truncated off.

  16. Included is a !Sprites32, this is a 32bit iconsprite which you
  17. can use in place of the exsisting one.  Note that RiscOS 3.5x
  18. does not support the ability to auto-detect the existance of a
  19. deep colour sprite and use it when you change to a mode that
  20. will support it but will otherwise use any other supplied
  21. sprites.  So you will have to rename !Sprites32 to !Sprites.
