  22. What does it do? 
  23. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  25. TurboCopy, as the name suggests, is simply a disk copier designed for use by
  26. small organisations and home users.  It allows the user to copy and format
  27. disks using the ADFS E format.  A major feature of the program is that of
  28. keeping a log file, this file can contain the names of all the disks read
  29. in, and/or the quantity of disks written.
  30.  
  31. The program is very user friendly, and you can choose how complicated the
  32. program is.  You may wish, for example, to stick to the operations window
  33. which will allow you to read, write and format disks.  Other users may wish
  34. to alter the way the program runs or keep a log file, all this is done
  35. through the options window.

  37. The 'Operations' window
  38. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  40. This is the current window when the 'Operations' icon at the bottom of the
  41. window is selected.  This window contains the disk name (or <Unknown> if no
  42. disk is in memory).  Below this a several options as to how the disks a
  43. read/written.

  45.   • TO READ A DISK                : Select the read disk icon and Click on 'OK'
  46.   • TO WRITE and/or FORMAT A DISK : Select 'Default'.  The 'Format' and 'Write
  47.                                     Disk' icons will now be selectable.  Select                                                  either or both of those icons and click on                                                   OK.
  48.   • TO WRITE AND FORMAT A DISK IN 'TURBO' MODE : This option is currently
  49.                                                  unavailable but when
  50.                                                  implemented in a later
  51.                                                  version which give faster
  52.                                                  disk duplication - all
  53.                                                  completely legally.
  54.  
  55. While the Operations window is open, clicking save will allow you to save a
  56. disk and cancel will close the window.
  57.  
  58. The 'Options' window
  59. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  60.  
  61. This is the current window when the 'Options' icon at the bottom of the
  62. window is selected.  This window contains all the user configureable
  63. options.  
  64.  
  65. The 'drive' option is the drive which the disk is to be read from/written
  66. to.        
  67. The 'Format' option allows you to specify whether a disk is veryified when
  68. formatted or not.  This feature is not yet implemented.
  69. The 'User Display' option allows you to specify whether you are asked to
  70. confirm operations or not and whether the program will bring up a small
  71. window containing information on what is currently going on while disk
  72. operations are taking place or not.
  73. The 'Log file' option allows you to specify whether a log file of disks read
  74. in and/or disks written is created and when.  The first two icons tell the
  75. application where to send the file, you can either type in the file pathname
  76. or let the application send it to any program the loads in text files.  The
  77. program will send the file to !Edit if no wordprocessor is loaded.
  78. The next two icons tell the application whether to report the the log file
  79. everytime a disk is written or only on request (by clicking on the small
  80. 'OK' icon on the right of the request icon).
  81. You can include in the log either all the disks read in and/or the quantity
  82. of disks written.

  84. While the Options window is open, clicking on Save will save the current
  85. configuration, which will be loaded in as default when the program is
  86. loaded and Cancel will close the window.

  88.   !! THE 'OK' ICON MUST BE CLICKED FOR ANY OPTION CHANGES TO BE EFFECTIVE !!

  93. Apart from the usual Info and Quit options, you can save the currently
  94. loaded disk (if any) from this menu.
