  1. Fast File-Move Utility

  4. Selecting this option will install the module !FastMove.FMove, which can
  5. help to speed up the moving of files using the Desktop.
  6.  
  7. Normally when a file is moved by dragging its icon with the Shift key held
  8. down, the file is copied and the original version deleted. However, if the
  9. source and destination files are on the same filing system and the same
  10. disc, then *Rename can be used instead.
  11.  
  12. This module traps *Copy commands which have the D (delete source) option
  13. set. If the source and destination files are on the same disc, then it uses
  14. a *Rename command instead. Note, however, that any other options to the
  15. *Copy command will be ignored, as *Rename doesn't have any options.

  17. The operation of the module can be cancelled with '*RMKill FastMove', which
  18. deletes the module from the RMA.
