- 1.System Requirements
- ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
- This game required a minimum of an ARM3 chip, and 3,072Kb of free memory
- to run. If enough additional memory is available then music will be played
- throughout the game.
- On a 4Mb machine, it will probably be neccessary to turn on your machine
- without loading the boot sequence (holding Shift whilst turning on your
- machine will toggle whether the boot sequence is run).
-
-
- 2.Video Driver Modules
- ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
- By default, the game is set up to run in a VGA mode if possible. If this
- mode is unavailable (or there is insufficient memory for it) the game will
- automatically switch to a TV scan rate mode (Mode 13). If you wish to
- change the mode which is entered when the game is first loaded, this can
- be done via the games menu system.
- If you wish to change the screen mode which is being used whilst the game
- is running, F7 (TV mode) and F8 (toggle VGA styles) will attempt to switch
- to the corresponding mode. Filtered VGA mode is only recomended for high
- end machines.

- 4.Troubleshooting
- ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
- If you are having any problems running Botkiller 2, then please check the
- list below before contacting the publisher.
-
- Insufficient memory
- ¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨
- As Botkiller 2 requires almost all of the memory of a 4Mb machine, it may
- be necessary to load the game after skipping the machines !Boot sequence.
- This can be achieved by turning on the machine whilst holding down Shift and
- then running !Botkill2.
-
- Using VGA screen modes
- ¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨
- If pressing F8 refuses to switch to VGA screen mode, then there could be
- two problems - your machine doesn't support VGA modes (ie if you are running
- Botkiller 2 on a pre-RiscPC machine and it doesn't support modes such as
- 27 or 28), or there is insufficient memory available. If the latter is the
- case then the situation may be alleviated by running the game after a 'clean
- boot' (see above).
-
- Resetting the controls/options
- ¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨
- If you ever need to restore the options to the defaults, simply delete
- the file '!Botkill2.Resources.Options'. The controls will then be restored
- to those listed above and the options can then be controled via the game
- menu system.
-
- Resetting the high-scores
- ¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨
- If you ever wish to reset the high-scores to the defaults, simply delete
- the file '!Botkill2.Resources.Scores' and they will be reset to their
- original values.
