  21. This CD is for people who want a collection of a variety games at a
  22. sensible price. We have selected twenty of the best PD and Freeware
  23. games, all of which have been tested on all types of computer from an
  24. A3000 to a A Strong ARM RiscPC. As long as you have 2Mb of RAM you
  25. should be able to run any of these games.

  27. If you want quantity and not quality you could buy the APDL PD-2 CD.
  28. This has hundreds of games, but many of them don't work on all machines
  29. or must be de-archived to a hard disc before they can be used. The games
  30. on this CD will all run direct from the CD, and many have been modified
  31. slightly so that you can still save your High Scores.

  33. Before you begin to play you will see an application called !HISCORES on
  34. the CD. This is not a program, it's just somewhere to put the games
  35. hi-score tables and key definition files. As this is a CD you can't
  36. write to it, so you will need somewhere other than the CD to save your
  37. hi-scores.

  39. Copy the !HISCORES program to another disc. This can be a hard disc or a
  40. floppy disc, it doesn't matter as long as it's not write protected. Now
  41. BEFORE you play any of the games double-click on the !HISCORES program
  42. on your writable drive. This will tell the games where to save the
  43. hi-score tables. If you don't do this then the games will try to save
  44. the hi-scores to the CD which, of course, won't work, so you will lose
  45. your latest scores!
