  4. SA-12 Gladiator SAM : Deployment data and tactics

  6.    The SA-12 system comprises  of several different  vehicles, all  necessary
  7. to the successful use of the SAM system. As well as the main tracked  missile
  8. launcher, other  vehicles,  based on the  same  tracked  chassis include  the
  9. "billboard" fire control radar  and the C+C (command and control) vehicle. In
  10. addition  to the SA-12 vehicles, many other forces may be in the area.  SA-12
  11. SAMs are  high value weapons  and so will therefore  be heavily  protected by
  12. low level, short range sams as well as AAA (anti aircraft artillery).
