  26. The SmartDesk Virtual Machine is a binary collection of programs, libraries,
  27. and utilities designed to enhance the Windows environment.  Once installed,
  28. the VM provides:

  75. SECTION 3 - Installation

  78. The SmartDesk Virtual Machine is provided as a downloadable self-extracting
  79. file which has been compressed using WINZIP.  The current release file 
  80. information is:

  82.     SDVM35.EXE dated April 1, 1998
  83.  
  84. To install:
  85.  
  86.     1. Copy the SDVM35.EXE file to a temporary directory.
  87.  
  88.     2. Run the SDVM35.EXE file and follow the on-screen instructions.
  89.  
  90.     After the VM installs, the VMSTATUS program will automatically be
  91.     launched.  It is not necessary to restart windows.  By default, the VM
  92.     will only load when required.  You can optionally set the VM to AUTOLOAD 
  93.     when Windows starts via the OPTIONS portion of the VMSTATUS program.

  172. If you are installing this version over a prior version of the VM,
  173. please perform an uninstall first.  After uninstalling, we HIGHLY
  174. recommend restarting Windows before installing the new stuff.

  233. SECTION 8 - Uninstalling

  236. The SmartDesk VM can be running the SDUNSTL.EXE program in the WINDOWS 
  237. directory will also access the uninstaller.
  238.  
  239. A password to remove the VM is required only if one was setup via the
  240. VMSTATUS program.  In such event, the password must be entered before the
  241. uninstaller will remove the VM.

  243. After uninstalling, it is recommended (though not required) that Windows be
  244. restarted.
