  1. LICENSE AGREEMENT

  3. This license agreement covers your use of the iMatix Corporation XITAMI WEB
  4. SERVER, its source code, documentation, and executable files, hereinafter
  5. referred to as "the Product".
  6.  
  7. The Product is Copyright (c) 1991-98 iMatix Corporation. You may use it and
  8. distribute it according to this following License Agreement. If you do not
  9. agree with these terms, please remove the Product from your system. By
  10. incorporating the Product in your work or distributing the Product to others
  11. you implicitly agree to these license terms.
  12.  
  13. This License Agreement covers the current version of The Product. iMatix
  14. Corporation reserves the right to modify the terms of this License Agreement
  15. at any moment, and without prior notification, in future releases of The
  16. Product.

  18. STATEMENT OF COPYRIGHT

  20. The Product is, and remains, copyright 1991-98 iMatix Corporation, with
  21. exception of specific copyrights as noted in the individual source files.
  22.  
  23. GENERAL CONDITIONS
  24.  
  25. The Product is provided in two forms: as a ready-to-run installation kit
  26. consisting of executable programs, help files, etc. (the "Product
  27. Executable") and as a package of source files, the "Product Sources".
  28.  
  29. You may freely use and distribute the Product Executable so long as you
  30. provide the complete and unmodified original Product Executable installation
  31. kit as supplied by iMatix Corporation.
  32.  
  33. The Product Sources fall under the License Agreement for the iMatix SMT
  34. product. The applicable terms and conditions are repeated here.
  35.  
  36. CONDITIONS OF USE FOR PRODUCT SOURCES
  37.  
  38. You do not need to provide the source code for the Product as part of your
  39. product. However, you must do one of these things to comply with the Product
  40. License Agreement:
  41.  
  42. 1.  Provide the source code for Product modules that you use, and include
  43.     this License Agreement, or
  44. 2.  Make your product freely available according to a license similar to
  45.     the GNU General Public License, or the Perl Artistic License, or this
  46.     License Agreement, or
  47. 3.  Add this phrase to the documentation for your product: "This product
  48.     uses parts of the SMT Kernel, Copyright (c) 1991-98 iMatix Corporation 
  49.     <http://www.imatix.com>".

  51. RIGHTS OF USAGE
  52.  
  53. You may freely and at no cost use the Product in any project, commercial,
  54. academic, military, or private, so long as you respect the License
  55. Agreement. The License Agreement does not affect any software except the
  56. Product. In particular, any application that uses the Product does not
  57. itself fall under the License Agreement.
  58.  
  59. You may modify any part of the Product, including sources and documentation,
  60. except this License Agreement, which you may not modify.
  61.  
  62. You must clearly indicate any modifications at the start of each source
  63. file. The user of any modified Product code must know that the source file
  64. is not original.
  65.  
  66. At your discretion, you may rewrite or reuse any part of the Product so that
  67. your derived code is not obviously part of the Product. This derived code
  68. does not fall under the Product License Agreement directly, but you must
  69. include a credit at the start of each source file indicating the original
  70. authorship and source of the code, and a statement of copyright as follows:

  72.     "Parts copyright (c) 1991-98 iMatix Corporation"

  74. RIGHTS OF DISTRIBUTION
  75.  
  76. You may freely distribute the Product, or any subset of the Product, by any
  77. means. This covers, but is not limited to, distribution of binaries built
  78. from original or modified copies of the product source code. The License, in
  79. the form of the file called "LICENSE.TXT" must accompany any such
  80. distribution.

  82. You may charge a fee for distributing the Product, for providing a warranty
  83. on the Product, for making modifications to the Product, or for any other
  84. service provided in relation to the Product. You are not required to ask our
  85. permission for any of these activities.

  87. At no time will iMatix Corporation associate itself with any distribution of
  88. the Product except that supplied from the iMatix Corporation Internet site
  89. http://www.imatix.com.

  91. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
  92.  
  93. The Product is provided as free software, in the hope that it will be
  94. useful. It is provided "as-is", without warranty of any kind, either
  95. expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties
  96. of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk as
  97. to determining the suitability, quality and performance of the Product is
  98. with you. Should the Product prove defective, the full cost of repair,
  99. servicing, or correction lies with you.
