  1. PowerNavigator2.1 / - 5/28/1997 from the developers of Backlight Control Button
  2.  
  3. PowerNavigator gives you instant access to your most used packages and instant
  4. Fax and Beam receive .
  5.  
  6.  
  7. Important : Be sure that your pen is calibrated. If it isn't , calibrate it with :
  8.             - Extras -> setup -> prefs -> handwriting recognition -> Align Pen
  9.             - tapping the "A" button in the notes application statusbar -> choosing
  10. preferences ("i") 
  11.             in the popupMenu -> floating view appears with a button called "Align pen". By 
  12.             tapping the "Align pen" button the calibrating application starts.

  15. This "Newton Extension" places a floating, dragable button on your Newton screen.
  16. By clicking the button, a popup menu becomes visible with ten predefined list items 
  17. named "Fax receive; Beam receive; Rotate screen; Password on; Password off; Align Pen;
  18. Memory info;CleanHeap;
  19. DS Intern (DS = DataStore); DS MyCard1; DS MyCard2 (only on MP2000); Sleep; Drag
  20. Navigator; Configuration" . 
  21. Password on/off display's the PowerOnScreen with or without Pin-Code keyboard.
  22. AlignPen starts the function to calibrate the screen and Memory info shows you the memory
  23. situation.
  24. Sleep puts newton to sleep (power off), Memory info shows the free memory on your Newton
  25. and additional memory
  26. cards, CleanHeap simply make a garbageCollection, DS intern, DS MyCard1... sets the
  27. default dataStore to the
  28. selected card, and Drag Navigator enables the drag mode. You can leave the drag
  29. mode by double clicking on the powerNavigator button (sound is playing).
  30. By choosing the "Configuration" list item, a floating view is opened where you can add
  31. your most used newton
  32. applications which will be choosable over the popup Menu.

  34. Description of Buttons :

  36.     -     "i" Info-Button about PowerNavigator where you find the information
  37.         how to registrate your copy of PowerNavigtor.
  38.         PS : To registrate PowerNavitgator you have to start PowerReg. There
  39.         you can select the application you want to registrate and you have to
  40.         type in the registration pin code that you get from us (see below).
  41.         
  42.     -    "Sep" Add or Insert a pickseparator line
  43.     
  44.     _    "Del" Delete selected list items. 
  45.     
  46.     -    "Add" Add a package which resides on internal or external memory
  47.         If a list item is selected the "Add" button is removed by an "Ins" 
  48.         (insert) button.
  49.         
  50.     -     check box "1 click conf.". If checked, the popupMenu with the installed functions
  51.         "Fax receive; Beam receive; Rotate screen; Password on; Password off; Align Pen;
  52. Memory info; Clean Heap

  66.     -    check box "Sound ON". If not checked, the click sound is off, otherwise it is on.

  68.     -    check box "DragMessage". If checked, floating view is opened with message
  69.         "Double click button to leave drag mode" if you choose "Drag Navigator" from¼
  70.         the built in popup list.
  71.         Button can be draged by pick it on the edge, too. But it's more comfortable
  72.         to drag with "Drag Navigotar" because it can be picked not only on the edge.

  74.     -     check box "Thaw/Freeze". If checked, a freezed package selected by the
  75. PowerNavigator PopUp is thawed and     
  76.         opened, and after quitting this application, it is automaticly freezed again.
  77.     
  78.     -    check box "Thaw". If checked, a freezed package selected by the PowerNavigator
  79. PopUp is thawed and     
  80.         opened, but not freezed after quitting this application
  81.         
  82.     -    check box "Backlight". If checked the light is turn on when tapping on the
  83. PowerNavigator.

  86.         After you configured your list, the configuration become active by closing the
  87.         configuration view.
