  8. INSTALLER LOCATIONS

  10. Windows - /win32
  11. The directory /win32 contains 
  12.    forte_ce_1_0.exe 
  13. which should be used for supported Windows 32 platforms (Windows 95,
  14. Windows 98, Windows NT 4, Windows 2000)
  15.  
  16. Linux - /linux
  17. The directory /linux contains 
  18.      Forte_CE-FCS-1_0.noarch.rpm 
  19. which can be used on Linux systems supporting the RedHat Package Manager. 
  20. If your Linux diustribution does not support RPM, then please use the 
  21. Solaris version of installer located in /solaris directory on this CD, 
  22. or Java installer located in java dir.

  24. Solaris - /solaris
  25. The directory /solaris contains 
  26.    forte_ce_1_0.sh 
  27. which can be used on Solaris and any other UNIX system.

  29. Java installer - /java
  30. The directory /java contains 
  31.    forte_ce_1_0.class 
  32. which can be used to install the IDE on any platform if there is a Java 2 
  33. (JDK 1.2 or greater) compatible JVM installed.
