Transcription: Alexander stayed in Ephesus for a few days and then proceeded to Miletus. He captured the lower part of the city which was abandoned and camped in it. Then he used 160 warships from the allied fleet and completed the blockade. The siege devices were in full action to take over the Acropolis while he put to flight the Persian ships that had attempted to attack.
