  107. This is the first day of Gettysburg, situated north of the town
  108. itself where Harry Heth's men are on the way into town to find
  109. some shoes. They will find John Buford's cavalry and a whole lot
  110. more as one of the greatest battles in American history is
  111. underway.

  113. The Confederates will be on the offensive, trying to drive the
  114. Union forces back to Cemetery Hill and capture the objective
  115. there. To the northeast, Early will cause problems for Barlow's
  116. forces, and poses a real threat to Cemetery Hill. In the north,
  117. Ewell has considerable forces, but leadership and terrain will
  118. make it difficult to follow up on victories. There will be bitter
  119. fighting in the west, as tenacious Federals, including Solomon
  120. Meredith's famous "Iron Brigade" try to hold out against Heth's
  121. attack and Pender's crack division.
