  1. QASAS - Overview
  2.  
  3. The QA Survey Assessment System (QASAS) is a program which is designed to 
  4. analyze the results Surveys and / or Questionnaires.  Although the QASAS 
  5. cannot analyze all Questionnaires, it is general enough so that it can 
  6. analyze and produce useful information from many questionnaires. The DOS 
  7. version has been used sucessfully in the past for such diverse uses as an 
  8. Employee Morale survey, Quality Assurance Surveys in a hospital and 
  9. Newspaper Readership Surveys. This Windows 95 version of the program is being 
  10. released as shareware (program requires Windows 95 or Windows NT). Users who 
  11. register the software are entitled to report bugs and will receive the latest 
  12. version of the program by e-mail or disk. The shareware fee is $50. A 
  13. registration form is included under the filename REGISTER.TXT. Installation 
  14. instructions are included in the file INSTALL.TXT. More information about using 
  15. the program can be found in the help file included in the program. Compuserve
  16. users may register the software via "GO SWREG".

  18. The QASAS program allows you to specify the parameters for the Survey, 
  19. including The Name of the Survey, The Number of Discriminants (such as 
  20. respondent Age, Sex, etc.), The Names of Each Discriminant, The Possible Values 
  21. for Each Discriminant, (5)  How many sections the Survey has, Whether questions 
  22. should be numbered or lettered, The names for up to ten generic fields 
  23. (pieces of information) that you wish to keep about each respondent, The Names 
  24. of Each Section, The Number of Questions in Each Section, Whether question 
  25. should have Categorical answers or strictly numeric answers, And if the answers 
  26. are categorical in nature, the Permissible Answers for all questions in a 
  27. section, and, The Actual Questions for Each Section.

  29. After entering the parameters for a Survey, you can enter the actual responses 
  30. which are received to the Survey.

  32. The QASAS can generate several reports regarding the Survey, including:
  33. (1) A listing of the Survey parameters and questions, (2) An Analysis of the 
  34. responses to the Survey for each question, broken down by each of the 
  35. Discriminants, (3) A raw listing of the responses to the Survey.
  36. Data summaries including Totals, Averages, Minimums, Maximums, Counts, (4) A 
  37. tabular (columnar) analysis of a single discriminant, (5) A listing of the 
  38. questions along with the answers for each respondent, (6) A tabulation of all 
  39. responses broken down by two discriminants.

  41. In addition, the QASAS has the capability of transferring the survey information 
  42. into formats which can be imported into many other programs, including Lotus 
  43. 1,2,3; DBase III+; Foxpro and other programs.

  45. The present version of the QASAS is configured for the following Limits:

  49.     Maximum Questions per Section   26
  50.     Total maximum questions         260
  51.     Maximum Values to a Question    10
  52.     Maximum Number of Respondents   Unlimited

  54. System Requirements:
  55.     This version of QASAS requires Windows 95. There is also a DOS version.
  56.     Contact R & D Systems for more information. 
  57.     This version of QASAS should run on any computer which can properly run
  58.     Windows 95. It is recommended that the computer have at least eight (8)
  59.     Mb. of RAM although this is not required. QASAS should work on either
  60.     a color or a monochrome monitor and should work with any printer
  61.     that works with Windows 95. The program will require at least 1 Mb of
  62.     hard disk space. More space will be required depending upon the number
  63.     of surveys and number of respondents.
