  1. World War II Scenario Read-me

  5. INTRODUCTION:        
  6.         I created this scenario after playing both the World War II scenario
  7. included in Civ2 and the scenario "East, Wind, Rain."  Upon playing the two,
  8. I felt that it would be very nice if there would be a combination of both.
  9. After about four days of intense work in front of my computer, this scenario
  10. came out.  It is entitled ww2, and is a scenario encompasing the entire
  11. World War II theater, from the Pacific, to the Atlantic, to Europe, and even
  12. to Africa.

  14. MAIN POINTS: 
  15.         At the start of the scenario, the Japanese will attack Pearl Harbor.
  16. Soon later, the war is pretty much like history.  I have arranged the 
  17. military power so that you have quite a lot of muscle at the beginning.
  18.         Also, I have created a lot of units in Northern Africa to simulate
  19. the African theater of World War II with General Montgomery against
  20. Rommel.  Hopefully, it will all turn out OK.

  22. THE FILES:
  23.         ww2.scn  -- This is the scenario file, copy it to c:\mps\civ2
  24.         ww2.txt  -- Opening text for scenario
  25.         readme.1st -- this file
  26.         fascism.zip -- This is the fascism patch.  This is an important patch
  27.         for World War II because both the Nazis and the Japanese are fascist.
  28.         It also adds new units like Zepplins and Dive Bombers.  Backup
  29.         units.gif, cities.gif, labels.txt, etc before unzipping.

  31. FINAL NOTE:
  32.         Please send me any comments, good or bad, about this scenario so that
  33. I may improve on it.  Also, if you have any good ideas, send it to me as
  34. well.  Also, if you want, you can send me $$$ (I need the moola to buy
  35. a Pentium computer, I have a DX-33 rights now and it barely runs CIV2).  
  36. However, under no circumstances are you obliged to do so.  No one may sell
  37. this scenario and it is freeware.  Don't alter its contents without my
  38. consent, but you may post it anywhere you like and feel free to distribute 
  39. it.
