- DOMINATOR Collection ReadMe
-
-
- DOS games are in directory named "dos". Every game have own directory.
- If you do not know any of these games, we suggest to try Doom, Raptor
- or Wolfenstein games. For experienced users there is some extra fun in
- Doom directory. Several programs or add-ons must be copyed to hard drive
- to make those work.
-
- Windows games are in directory named "win".
- Most games can be run directly with "File: Run" command or double click
- from File Manager. Look for Readme's.
-
- In root directory you find MicroProse demos: Bloodnet, Civilization,
- Task Force 1942, Pirates! Gold, Fleet Defender, NFL CC Football and
- 10 other games. Use Install command in CD-ROM root directory to install
- demos. Look MicroProse Demos Readme later in this file for more information.
- These are NOT fully working games. Buy original retail versions!
-
- On this CD-ROM you find also some updates for certain games that are
- not on this CD-ROM. We hope that you might have some use for those.
- Non experienced use of those updates is not recommended!
-
- All programs on this CD-ROM are checked with F-PROT virus detector.
-
- HAVE FUN!

- MicroProse Demos Readme
-
- The Task Force: 1942 demo requires a large amount of memory to run
- (about 600,000 bytes with sound and music, 25K less without sound or
- music). If the MicroProse logo displays and you're then shown the
- demo selection screen, you don't have enough free core memory to view
- the demo.
-
- There is a known compatibility problem with the Return of the Phantom
- demo that was corrected before the game was released. This problem
- may cause some systems to reboot when you attempt to run the demo.
- You can attempt to resolve this problem by copying the entire Phantom
- demo onto your hard drive (it's in the \DEMOS\PHANTOM directory on
- the CD), then run the demo from there (be sure to run Phantom's
- INSTALL program to configure sound and music first). We apologize
- for any inconvenience this problem may cause.
-
- To copy the Phantom demo onto your hard drive, follow these steps
- (Type the commands inside the parentheses but don't type the
- parentheses):
-
- 1. From the C:\ prompt, type (MD PHANTOM) then press enter to
- create a new directory. (Don't type the parentheses.)
- 2. Go to the new directory by typing (CD PHANTOM)
- 3. Copy the files from the CD to the hard drive by typing
- (COPY D:\DEMOS\PHANTOM\*.*). If your CD-ROM drive letter is
- something other than drive D, replace the D: with the drive
- letter of your CD-ROM.
- 4. Type (INSTALL) to setup sounds.
- 5. Type (PHANTOM) to view the demo.
-
- If you experience problems with any of the other demos, you can try
- to resolve the problem by copying the demo that you're having
- difficulties with onto your hard drive. The process is similar to
- the process given above for Phantom.
-
- Some of the demos require configuration information before they can
- be run. You will be promted for the information before you run the
- demo.
-
- The Anicient Art of War demo is non-interactive. You should not hit
- any keys during the demo play (except ESC to return to the selection
- menu, and SPACE to advance past the introduction screens).
-
- If you want to view this readme file in the future, type README at
- the DOS prompt from the root directory on the CD-ROM drive.
-
- To purchase any of these games, visit your local software retailer,
- or dial 1-800-879-PLAY (1-800-879-7529) to order.
