  14. In addition to being able to FTP the source code for Ghostview from
  15. ftp.cs.wisc.edu, you may now also get the binaries. The sources are in:

  19. The binaries (including the Athena widget shareable images and Ghostscript
  20. 2.5.2) are in:

  24. If you request the files without the ".Z" suffix, the FTP server at that end
  25. will uncompress the file for you so that you receive the uncompressed version.

  27. Both files are in VMS_SHARE format. The binaries are packed with MFTU. You do
  28. not, however, need MFTU to unpack them. The MFTU executable and a command
  29. procedure to do the unpacking are included in the file containing the binaries.
  30. This file is VMS_SHARE'd with a mutant version that can transfer executables
  31. properly. Thus to unpack it, once you've FTP'ed it, all you have to do is:

  36. (and then clean up those files and the two *.mft files that will be left over).
