- I am attempting to access, via rmt, a 9 track tape drive on a remote
- ibm RS6000/320H. I have set up an appropriate entry in the remote
- machines .rhost file. The rmtalloc command seems to work properly,
- but when I do a "Mount/foreign", I always get
-
- %MOUNT-F-UNSAFE, drive unsafe
-
- message. This is the result whether I invoke the low density or
- the high density device (the tape is almost assuredly low density)
- and whether I access the "retension on open" option or not. Any
- suggestions?
