  14. Thanks for all of your replies on the subject.  Obviously I missed
  15. an important section in the New Features manual (excuse: Bookreader
  16. is our site's only means for VMS documentation...that's right, no
  17. paper copies.  Sigh, I miss browsing...)

  19. Well, anyway, I can offer a little tid-de-bit.  We demo'ed RTF
  20. (Remote Tape Facility), from Touch Technologies I believe.  It
  21. allows you to share tape devices over the Ethernet, and it seemed
  22. to work quuite well.  Performance wasn't bad at all (but we didn't
  23. traverse a bridge on the Ethernet...they promote "worldwide access").
  24. We didn't buy it because we'll wait for VAXcluster sharing instead.
  25. Guess we'll have to wait a bit longer  :)
