- Hi,
- I'm trying to do an automatic mail probe to see if mail systems are
- well-configured. The acid test is to see whether the system can route
- mail thru itself back to me via source routing, i.e.
- mail @host2:myself@myhost
-
- However, sometimes when I try this, I get errors like
-
- From: PMDF Mail Server <postmaster@portia.caltech.edu>
- Subject: Undeliverable mail: temporarily unable to deliver
-
- Your message could not be delivered to:
-
- horton%punisher.caltech.edu@ORIENT
-
- Your message has been enqueued and undeliverable for 6 days.
- The mail system will continue to try to deliver your message
- for an additional 6 days.
-
- Is this because PMDF can't handle source routing?
